General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, July 31, reveals that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) called someone hoping to score information on Gordon Stevens (Maurice Hall) before joining Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) at a Metro Court table on the terrace.
That led to a conversation about Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) still being out of town, but Anna made it clear that she could take care of herself.
Sonny was concerned about the WSB trying to eliminate Anna, but she wasn’t so sure about that theory.
There was talk about whether Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) or someone else leaked Anna’s shady past. Although Anna assumed it was Victor due to his message at the will reading, she had no way to know for certain.
Anna also reminded Sonny that he could’ve been the target at the pool that day, so that led to him mentioning Pikeman Security Group. After Anna admitted she knew about Pikeman, she advised Sonny to steer clear of them.
Next on Monday’s GH episode, Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) convinced Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) to join him for dinner after Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) canceled due to a medical emergency.
Tracy wasn’t thrilled at first, but then Gregory charmed her with a funny story about having to take a friend’s dog to class with him.
When the bill came, Gregory insisted on paying and ultimately suffered from a hand tremor. Although Gregory tried to brush it off, Tracy still noticed and decided to get in touch with Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn).
Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) also met up with Felicia Scorpio (Lynn Herring) at the Metro Court, where she remained upset about Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) concealing massive alimony payments.
Martin interrupted the discussion, so Felicia made herself scarce and let Lucy handle him. Lucy ended up talking about Martin’s great financial burden when it came to his ex-wives and his mother at the retirement home.
Martin suggested that it was hard since Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) couldn’t help, but he managed.
However, Martin complained about what a vulture his third ex-wife was and left Lucy looking livid over his deception.
In Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) office, Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) pushed him to drop his grudge against Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), but Michael insisted he would support whatever Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) decided.
Kristina eventually made a pitch for Michael to be on her board of directors at the new foundation, so he decided he was in.
Since Kristina felt in over her head on this project, Michael urged her to take advantage of Sonny’s help and trust that their dad had faith in her.
Kristina was grateful for the advice and embraced Michael before heading out.
At Molly Lansing-Davis’ (Brooke Anne Smith) apartment, she admitted to Alexis that Kristina seemingly checked off all the right surrogate boxes.
Alexis showed Molly another side of the issue by pointing out that Kristina would be in the baby’s life forever.
That could create complications since Kristina would be the child’s biological mother – and no one could predict how she’d react to just serving as an aunt.
As Alexis was leaving, Tracy called to ask if there was something wrong with Gregory and sought updates on his health.
At Pentonville, Book (Brad Schmidt) cornered Cyrus in the library and pointed out there was no one around to protect him now.
Once Book shoved Cyrus against a wall, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) appeared and pushed him to back off. Book didn’t listen, so Drew knocked him out and stopped him from going after Cyrus.
Since Cyrus was struggling to breathe and stand upright, Drew thought they should take him to the infirmary. Unfortunately, Book regained consciousness and lunged toward Drew with a shiv.
That led to a heated confrontation before some guards came in to break up Book and Drew’s fight. It wasn’t long until both Drew and Book were being sent to solitary confinement.
Cyrus collapsed nearby, so Drew believed he was having a heart attack. Since no one from the infirmary was there yet, the guards agreed to let Drew help Cyrus on the floor.
Drew tried to coach Cyrus to breathe and stay with him, but Cyrus saw a white light and had a hard time hanging on.
General Hospital spoilers say Cyrus’ life will continue to hang in the balance, so don’t miss what’s next on the ABC soap.
