General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, May 22, reveals that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) enjoyed some time together at the Metro Court, where Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) was surprised to see them out and about.
After Tracy insisted justice would prevail in the SEC case, Carly and Drew brainstormed a way out of this since they didn’t want to testify against each other.
Drew still believed Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) was responsible for tipping off the SEC and figured he must have some inside connections that could make this go away.
Carly and Drew decided that they needed leverage, so they resolved to find some dirt on Tracy.
That way, Ned would be forced to choose between making Drew and Carly pay or saving his mother.
Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) also met with Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) at the Metro Court about some urgent updates, but Finn stepped away briefly to greet Tracy now that she was back in town.
Next, it was Tracy’s turn to excuse herself since Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) had arrived for their meeting.
Tracy felt like Chase needed to either forgive Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) or cut her loose – though she acted like Brook Lynn deserved far better.
Once Finn rejoined Gregory, he was distracted and curious over Tracy bickering with Chase nearby.
However, Finn ultimately heard Gregory’s pitch to take a family trip to Disney World for Violet Finn’s (Jophielle Love) birthday next week.
Although Gregory had already booked the tickets, Finn didn’t think everyone could get time off that quick – not to mention Violet was still in school.
Gregory’s rush confused Finn, who wondered why they couldn’t just do this trip later.
Once Gregory said he wanted to make memories while they still could, Finn asked what that meant before taking a phone call.
Soon after, Gregory confronted Tracy and wondered if there was a problem since she was berating his son.
After Gregory defended Chase’s character, he spoke with Chase privately about how he wanted to protect him as long as he was able to.
Chase seemed puzzled over Gregory’s strange comment.
At Kelly’s, Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) spoke to Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) about how he came to her rescue at Home and Heart.
Although Sasha wanted to try being friends again, Cody didn’t see how that was possible.
Sasha thought maybe Cody had been framed by someone besides Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs), but Cody insisted Gladys was guilty.
Cody was glad to know Sasha didn’t think he was a thief, but he hoped that one day she could see the whole truth.
At The Savoy, Gladys told Selina Wu (Lydia Look) that she had something better than money and mentioned the fat envelope of cash Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) had received.
Selina wasn’t impressed over the news that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) paid his employees, but Gladys acted like something big must’ve gone down for Dex to get that much.
Selina was only willing to knock off five grand for the info, which meant Gladys still owed her $80,000.
Since Selina was about to leave to visit her mother in Singapore, she agreed to let Gladys pay in installments.
Selina expected to be paid in full by the time she returned – and she added that the interest would be 20 percent a week.
Gladys protested since it’d take even longer to pay off her debt that way.
Plus, Sasha wanted to end her guardianship, so Gladys might not have access to the funds for much longer.
Selina made it clear that wasn’t her problem before sauntering off.
Privately, Selina told her guard that if Gladys had to do something drastic like run away, then Sonny might have to do something to help clear her debt.
Back with Gladys, she transferred the first payment and took a call from Sasha, who wanted to meet with her doctor to discuss getting the guardianship lifted.
At GH, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) ripped into Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) for changing the terms of the agreement and forcing Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) into an impossible situation.
Michael found out Dex was staying in town for Josslyn and asked how she could do that to him.
Michael felt like Dex was throwing away his chance at a fresh start and acted like Josslyn’s relationship with him couldn’t last long-term.
Nevertheless, Josslyn insisted on figuring a way out of this mess and stomped off.
At Crimson, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) informed Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) that Michael approached him about making peace, but there was a stipulation.
Nina found out that Sonny couldn’t advocate for her and had to let Willow handle their mother-daughter relationship on her own.
Michael said he wouldn’t influence Willow either, but Nina thought he’d be reinforcing Willow’s decision to shut her out with his silence – and so would Carly.
Although Nina didn’t begrudge Sonny a second chance with his family, she felt like her own chance for a family was slipping away.
Nina felt she’d always be on the outside and seemed to doubt that her relationship with Sonny would last, but he wanted to prove she’d be in his life forever and pushed her to marry him.
General Hospital spoilers say Sonny will await Nina’s answer and hope for the best, so stay tuned.
