General Hospital Recap: Monday, October 2 – Dr. Montague’s Ambush Interrupted by Sasha’s Saviour

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, October 2, reveals that Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) summoned Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) to his new home and wanted to make sure this discussion was covered under attorney-client privilege.

Valentin explained that Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) was caught on hotel security footage and that he suspected she was behind the shocking scene in Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) suite – though the footage had been deleted.

Martin didn’t think any court would view that as more than a cry for help, but Valentin also thought Charlotte was behind the fire at Anna’s house.

Although Martin was skeptical about Charlotte being an arsonist, Valentin wanted Martin to be prepared to defend Charlotte if need be.

Meanwhile, Anna spoke to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) over the phone and thanked him for the protection he was providing.

When Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) showed up at the cafe and mentioned the no-nonsense guy outside, Anna offered updates on that being her bodyguard.

Anna also talked to Jordan about the arson and what happened in her suite. Since the incident at the Metro Court pool was so different, Anna believed that perp was after Sonny.

After Anna talked about her suspicions regarding Valentin and the info he was keeping from her, she admitted she needed to find out his secrets.

In Switzerland, Kevin Collins (Jon Collins) tried to convince Laura Collins (Genie Francis) that Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) didn’t want to be found, but Laura was determined to shake some sense into her son and offer a path to redemption.

On Monday’s GH episode, Kevin agreed to travel to London since that’s where Laura wanted to search for Nikolas next.

Once Valentin got Laura on the phone and admitted Charlotte was in trouble, he said he couldn’t go into the details for legal reasons.

Laura realized this was serious news and agreed to come home immediately since Charlotte desperately needed help.

When Anna arrived and entered Valentin’s house, she acknowledged this is where he’d been hiding out and caught him off guard.

At home, Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) muttered about her plans to travel to Central America before Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) picked the lock.

After Sam let herself inside, she warned that Gladys wasn’t going anywhere until she exonerated Sasha.

Sam had a heated confrontation with Gladys, who tried to throw her out.

Gladys opened the door to find Sonny standing there, so he came inside and heard her wild accusations about Sam having an affair with Cody Bell (Josh Kelly).

Sam denied that, but Gladys kept piling on the deception and acted like she couldn’t stand being in town when Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) was going through so much pain.

Sonny pointed out that it was Gladys’ job to be there for Sasha as her guardian and asked how she was paying for the trip at one point.

Although Gladys kept trying to spin a story, Sonny finally told her to stop all the lies since he knew about her stealing from Sasha to cover her debts.

Despite Gladys’ attempts to explain, Sonny made it clear that it was over.

At Ferncliff, Dr. Damon Montague (Darin Toonder) told Nurse Janice (Lauren Swickard) that he wouldn’t be Sasha’s doctor anymore and acted like she’d become so confused that she was making accusations against him.

Since Dr. Montague had no other patients at Ferncliff, he made it clear that he was done there – though he was sure Janice would be seeing him around town.

In Sasha’s room, a new nurse warned her about staying put and taking her meds.

Sasha freaked out since she didn’t want any more drugs, but the nurse pushed her to play by the rules.

Later, Janice took a call from Dr. Montague about a file he supposedly left in the lounge, so she left the front desk to retrieve it.

That gave Dr. Montague a chance to slip in Sasha’s room with a syringe and prepare to inject her with it.

Sasha panicked and started throwing things to deter Dr. Montague, but he eventually held her down on the bed for the injection.

Suddenly, the door to Sasha’s room flung open as someone offscreen prepared to enter.

General Hospital spoilers say some stunning moments are still to come as Sasha’s Ferncliff story reaches a climax.
