General Hospital (GH) recap for Monday, September 18 notes that it was a busy day in the land of Port Charles. First off, the show opens where fans left off on Friday. Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) is staring at the mirror with the words, “You think you’re safe – you’re not”, donned across it. Rightfully so, she has a concerned look on her face.
As Anna moves to the main room of her hotel suite, she expresses to Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) how those behind these incidents are really trying to “get to her”.
Valentin believes the message is a direct threat. He advises her to call the police, while he looks into the matter further, and leaves.
Scenes flash as Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) is leaving a message for Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) looking for an update on Sasha Corbin (Sofia Mattsson).
As this happens, Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) walks into Reeves’s office wanting an update of her own on Sasha. With all that’s going on with Deception, she needs to know.
Nina tells her it is believed that Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) kidnapped Sasha, but Coe stands up for Cody stating he genuinely cares for Sasha and wouldn’t harm her.
Lucy also tells Nina that she needs to know if Sasha will be returning and if not, the company will have to replace her.
Reeves is genuinely upset by Lucy’s statement and declares their conversation is over and sees her at the door. Interestingly enough, Valentin walks in as Coe is leaving.
Valentin is looking for Metro Court video footage that can help reveal who ransacked Anna’s hotel room.
Nina pulls it up in a matter of moments, as they scroll through the footage, Cassadine asks Reeves to rewind on something. Both take a closer look at the screen and gasp, as Nina states, “Valentin, it can’t be”.
While Lucy is with Nina, Blair Cramer (Kassie DePaiva) takes the opportunity to have a conversation with Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight).
The two banter for a bit, and it’s revealed that she’s indeed his ex-third wife, paying him $50,000 a month in alimony.
Why so much? Well, that’s because of her affair with One Life To Live character David Vickers (Tuc Watkins).
It’s also confirmed that he did steal her idea for the Deceptor, although he states that Lucy’s device was fine-tuned and actually “worked”.
Cramer notes the reason for the lawsuit is her hopes that he’ll marry Lucy, so their alimony agreement can end.
If Martin marries Lucy, he can rest knowing that Coe won’t dump him and then retaliate by suing him for “stealing” Blair’s idea and selling it off as his own and her own; a lawsuit where Blair herself would be the key witness.
If he marries Lucy, he can at least keep the money he has now, he’ll just be out her $50,000/month.
As Blair leaves Martin’s table, Lucy comes by. He takes the opportunity to plant a massive and passionate kiss on Coe, as Cramer heads to the elevator.
Over at the hospital, Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) takes a stroll with Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) as she talks about her patient advocacy role.
Stella relays the importance of her job, as some patients are too intimidated to talk to their doctor and may have questions, they are afraid to ask.
Ms. Henry points to Dr. Bronson (Jeffrey Stubblefield) in neurology as one who’s got many patients on her list.
Meanwhile over at the other side of the hospital, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Finn Hamilton (Michael Easton) talk about Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) and how he still hasn’t told Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) his condition yet.
Finn also relays that he wants to approach Dr. Bronson (his dad’s doctor), but he can’t cross that line unless he talks to Gregory first. He’s apprehensive to do so, but Alexis encourages him and says that they are “in this together”, as they grab each other’s hand.
Finn later runs into Elizabeth at the hospital. She “comes clean” to him and tells the good doctor that after talking to Stella, she has apprehensions about Dr. Bronson taking on his dad’s case. He’s not a bad doctor but he’s too “by the book”.
Finn thanks Liz for her insight and reveals this will give him the “push” he needs to talk to his dad to learn more about how far his condition has progressed.
Over at the Invader offices, Gregory is walking down the hall and stumbles. He sees Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) working in the late hours and questions why she’s still there.
Esme notes she’s avoiding Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) as she overheard him talking to Alexis, telling her that he still doesn’t trust her.
Gregory gives her a pep talk and assures her that it’ll take time and that he and Alexis can see a positive change in Prince.
Alexis drops by her office from the hospital and nicely sends Esme home, but before she does, Gregory once again, almost falls down.
Davis blames it on the rug, but fans can tell his condition is worsening.
Lastly, Chase catches Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) in their apartment, visibly upset.
BLQ feels terrible about her confrontation with Maxie Jones (Kristen Storms) and how she let down her and Lucy; she should’ve gone straight to Chase with the blackmail her granny had on her.
The two talk things out, and both land on the same page; leave the past in the past and move on, but BLQ will likely struggle with guilt and anger towards Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliott) for a while.
Lastly, after her chat with Elizabeth, Stella runs into Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) at the hospital, and he brings up the fact that Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) is seriously considering selling the Savoy to Selina Wu (Lydia Look).
Stella is outraged – the Savoy is helping Curtis get out of the house and is giving him a “purpose” in life after his shooting incident.
Marshall suggests she talk to him and use her skills as a patient advocate to motivate him against selling the bar. She agrees to help.
