General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, August 31, reveals that Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) was disappointed when Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) had to bail on their concert plans to work for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), so she lashed out at him.
Josslyn ultimately wished Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) hadn’t destroyed the flash drive since it was their only chance to take Sonny down.
After Josslyn stomped off, she later left Dex an apologetic voicemail and urged him to be careful.
At the courthouse on Thursday’s GH episode, Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) flirted with Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) before revealing her desire to prove Judge Albert Kim’s (Kurt Yue) history of bias to help Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).
Although Diane hoped Robert could put in a good word with the WSB, he pointed out that the bureau wouldn’t lift a finger to help anyone based on his request.
Robert was on the outs with the WSB now that they were doing some house-cleaning.
Diane remained determined to look into the last four or five years of Judge Kim’s cases and hopefully prove a precedent of overly harsh punishments.
There was speculation about Judge Kim’s kickbacks for getting inconvenient people out of the way.
Robert pointed out that Drew did what the WSB couldn’t in Greenland and embarrassed the bureau, so he considered the possibility that they didn’t want Drew free.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Leo Quartermaine (Easton Rocket Sweda) could tell that Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) was upset, so he gave her some hugs to help cope with a really bad day.
Later, Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) got caught in the middle of Brook Lynn and Tracy Quartermaine’s (Jane Elliot) fight over the latter blackmailing her own granddaughter to hurt Deception.
Once Brook Lynn stormed out, Olivia ripped into Tracy and acted like Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) would be disappointed in her, but Tracy pointed out they were still stuck with “Eddie Maine” the busker.
Outside Kelly’s, Brook Lynn vented to Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) about Tracy and insisted she couldn’t live with her a second longer.
Chase assured Brook Lynn that she didn’t have to and suggested that she should move in with him instead.
At Wyndemere, Ava Jerome (Maura West) flashed back to the night she believed she caused Nikolas Cassadine’s (Adam Huss) demise.
After Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) showed up, they bickered since Ava had done her part and now expected to receive Nikolas’ body.
Austin said he’d reach out to Mason Gatlin-Holt (Nathanyael Grey), but he didn’t act very hopeful about the situation.
Ava also admitted she only went after Wyndemere out of spite and didn’t see why she should stay somewhere with bad memories.
Once Mason was summoned, he revealed a delay on the body, but he hinted about something going down tonight to resolve things.
Ava ranted about wanting Nikolas’ body back, so Mason said he’d pass along the message – though he couldn’t promise the boss would be receptive.
After Ava sent Austin and Mason to take the launch off the island, Austin spoke to his cousin alone outside.
Although Austin insisted the boss said he was out, Mason didn’t know about that and acted like there was still one thing left to do.
At the Metro Court pool, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) checked in with Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez), who gushed over Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay) and was glad to have his little brother.
Spencer acknowledged that Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) had been a good mom to Ace and was grateful for the chance to help raise him – even if that meant living with his ex.
Talk turned to Nikolas, so Spencer acted like he was perfectly fine without his father. Alexis didn’t seem to buy the idea that Spencer didn’t want Nikolas found.
Nearby, Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) complained to Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) about Tracy and the lawsuit, which led to her accusing him of stealing The Deceptor idea from scheming Tracy.
Martin vehemently denied that before Lucy vowed not to give Tracy one dime or a single share of Deception. Lucy insisted she’d fight Tracy to the bitter end – no matter the cost.
Martin worried Deception could go bankrupt, but Lucy said it was a good thing she kept her real estate license.
Soon after, Ava called Lucy since she was interested in selling Wyndemere and Spoon Island overall.
Back with Austin, he returned home to a healthy-looking Nikolas, who was just sitting there relaxing with a beer.
Austin asked how Nikolas was feeling tonight, so Nik smiled and said he was feeling great.
After Nikolas thanked “Doc,” he said it was kind of Austin to ask and took a swig out of his beer bottle.
General Hospital spoilers say Nikolas’ return will lead to all kinds of complications for Ava, so stay tuned for updates on when she’ll learn Nik’s survival news.
