General Hospital Recap: Thursday, June 8 – Ned’s Pool Fall Halts Nina’s Exposure – Tracy Lies About Drew’s Attack

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, June 8, reveals that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) was waiting outside Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) house when she came home, so he joined her inside and watched her drown her sorrows.

Anna assumed Sonny was there to call her a hypocrite over the revelations in the article, but Sonny wanted to show sympathy since he’d been haunted by headlines of his own before.

After Anna admitted everything in the article was factually true, she felt like her past had come back to bite her in a very public way.

For whatever it was worth, Sonny said he’d always consider Anna his friend – and she assured him that was worth a lot.

At the PCPD, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) sought help from Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) off the record and wondered how they could prove Anna’s file was doctored.

Later, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) tracked Dante down since he was supposed to be home two hours ago, so Dante admitted he was distracted with Anna worries.

Dante explained how he wanted to exonerate Anna, but Valentin started talking to him about complicated classified info.

Although Dante didn’t know how Anna would rebuild her life, Sam pointed out that Dante rebuilt his own.

Dante acknowledged that he had a lot of help and appreciated that Sam was waiting on the other side of all the drama.

Valentin eventually let himself in Anna’s place, so she admitted she wasn’t taking calls because she feared Emma Scorpio-Drake (Brooklyn Rae Silzer) and Noah Scorpio-Drake would look at her differently.

Anna was particularly worried about Emma’s reaction to the article and thought she’d never look at her with pride again.

Valentin did his best to reassure Anna and comforted her as she cried in his arms.

In the stairwell at GH, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) told Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) that she smashed the flash drive and had a much better use for Dex Heller (Evan Hofer).

Carly wanted Michael to pay Dex to keep working for Sonny, who needed someone like Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).

Dex could use all his skills to protect Sonny and follow orders, but he would have to tell Michael and get advice on how to help Sonny handle situations. The one catch was that Sonny could never know.

Michael worried about the risks and wasn’t sure Dex would get on board, but Carly thought they should give him the choice and let him decide for himself.

In Carly’s kitchen, Dex admitted to Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) that he didn’t want out of the mob.

Since Dex felt Port Charles was his home now, he couldn’t think of any other career he’d rather have there.

Dex got paid a lot of money to do what he was good at, so he didn’t see why he’d go be a doorman or something.

When Dex saved Sonny’s life at the warehouse, it changed things and led to good opportunities.

Dex thought he should continue to work for Sonny and be a model employee from now on since it was his best option. That said, Dex vowed to quit if it was the only way he could stay together with Josslyn.

Since Joss didn’t want to put conditions on their relationship and make Dex resent her, she relented on letting him stick to his mob job.

Josslyn just wanted Dex to remember that his life was pretty important to her and sealed it with a kiss.

At the Metro Court, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) was excited about the new truck he bought and tried to talk Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) into going camping with him.

Talk turned to Deception and why Brook Lynn returned, so Brook Lynn insisted that she loved all the ladies there and claimed they needed her.

When Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) appeared, Brook Lynn intrigued her by bringing up Chase’s new truck and used the conversation to steer him away from more Deception talk.

At the Metro Court pool, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) made it clear that he was blackmailing Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot), who coerced Brook Lynn to go back to work at Deception.

Drew threatened to tell Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) everything, so a nearby pool attendant overheard and asked if they said they were looking for Lucy.

Tracy chewed the employee out and warned that the pool area was now closed for privacy.

If anyone had a problem with that, Tracy said to take it up with Olivia since she was both the co-owner and her daughter-in-law.

Once Tracy turned her attention back to Drew, he hinted about her persuading Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) to make the SEC back off.

If Tracy didn’t, Drew threatened to spill how Tracy dragged Brook Lynn into espionage and other crimes.

Meanwhile, Ned called Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) out on being the person to report Carly and Drew for insider trading.

After Ned warned that Nina and Sonny were done, he insisted he wouldn’t take the fall for her.

Ned found out Tracy closed the pool area for privacy and was up there with Drew, so he dashed off to tell Drew about Nina’s guilt.

Nina followed looking frantic about what Ned was about to divulge.

Once Ned made it up to the pool, he slipped and fell in the water before he could tell Drew the truth.

Ned hit his head, so Drew pulled him out and did CPR since he wasn’t breathing.

Tracy called 911, so Olivia was informed when the paramedics arrived at the service elevator and headed up to the pool.

When Olivia realized Ned was the one who needed help, she flipped out.

Chase and Brook Lynn also showed up as the paramedics worked on Ned and apparently got a pulse back.

Tracy ultimately accused Drew of attacking Ned and almost killing him, so she pushed Chase to arrest Drew for assault!

After Nina bailed on the scene by the pool, she headed to Sonny’s office. Once Sonny met up with Nina, she reflected on how she thought he’d never forgive her for withholding his identity in Nixon Falls.

Sonny was all about putting the past to rest and focusing on the future, but a nervous Nina just wanted to be with Sonny tonight and live in the moment.

General Hospital spoilers say Nina’s secret remains a ticking time bomb, so stay tuned for updates on when this news will explode.
