General Hospital Recap: Thursday, March 30 – Ace’s Health Scare – Victor Offers To Solve Spencer's Esme Problem

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, March 30, reveals that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) headed to Pier 55, where Selina Wu (Lydia Look) arrived with a bodyguard and some news.

It turns out Selina’s people talked to a bartender who recognized the gunman and recalled that he was staying at a nearby hotel.

The man’s belongings had been acquired from his room, so Selina handed them over and hoped this restored Sonny’s faith in her.

Once Selina sauntered off, Sonny told Dex that now they just had to find out who hired the shooter.

Before they could leave, Dex saw a body in the water, so he dove in and pulled it over to the docks.

Sonny recognized the body as Deputy Mayor Eileen Ashby (Heather Mazur) and sent Dex away before he called Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper), who showed up with an officer to investigate.

Although Jordan was a bit suspicious of how Sonny was caught up in all this, Sonny didn’t think the commissioner wanted him to involve Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy).

Backstage ahead of the Nurses Ball, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) rehearsed some dance moves for their act.

Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) panicked over them not being prepared, but Trina and Josslyn assured her they were indeed ready.

Due to all the drama happening in their lives, Trina admitted she thought it was best to take things slow with Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez).

Trina also quizzed Josslyn about her own love life and realized she was dating a mystery man.

Josslyn refused to divulge the details since there could be serious consequences if the secret came out, but she vowed to tell Trina when she could.

After Dex showed up and interacted with them, Trina quickly realized he must be the new guy in Josslyn’s life.

At home, Cameron Webber (William Lipton) was treated to a special farewell breakfast with Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst), Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton), Violet Finn (Jophielle Love), Jake Webber (Hudson West), Aiden Webber (Enzo de Angelis) and Laura Collins (Genie Francis).

After Cameron shared some warm moments with all of them, he spoke privately to Liz and feared he couldn’t leave.

Cam felt like he was still needed in Port Charles, but Liz pushed him to put himself first for a change and go live his best life.

At GH, Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) showed up with Spencer as well as Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay), who was in her arms.

Esme insisted her son was sick and needed to see a doctor right away, but Spencer acted like it wasn’t serious and pushed her to just fill out the forms.

Spencer also suggested Esme should drop the angelic mother act and warned she couldn’t hide behind Ace forever.

In an exam room, Esme said they should try to move beyond the past, but Spencer warned that her actions would be hard to forget.

When Esme said she’d hate to see Spencer miss out on knowing Ace, Spencer asked if that was a threat.

Esme argued that it just wasn’t good for Ace if they kept fighting like this, but Spencer didn’t have the same perspective.

Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) eventually examined Ace and determined that he just had a case of colic.

After Austin suggested some soothing techniques, new formula and a probiotic, he praised Esme for doing a great job as a new mom.

Once Austin left the room, Spencer mentioned that he had something to take care of and would be back.

Esme complained since Spencer was her ride and felt she needed to start relying on herself.

Although Esme wanted to get a job, Spencer scoffed at that since she’d never worked a day in her life.

Spencer thought Esme should admit she had no idea what to do now that she was outside of prison.

Esme assumed that was part of Spencer’s plan, but she warned that it would backfire since she would never give up her son.

At the safe house, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) told Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) that Eileen didn’t leave town willingly since she left an obviously beloved dog behind.

There was no way Eileen would’ve just bailed without making arrangements for the pup, so that brought growing concerns.

Drew also noted that Victor had disappeared since he hadn’t been seen at the Metro Court and had someone else check him out.

All this brought Anna to the conclusion that Victor was onto them. Anna also worried that something really bad must’ve happened after Eileen hung up the phone.

On the pier, Laura got emotional over Eileen’s body and received updates from Sonny.

After Laura insisted Anna, Valentin and Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) were all in danger, Sonny left to warn them.

Jordan also told Laura that the coroner thought a fall may have killed Eileen, but Laura knew that Eileen wasn’t suicidal and said she was all about survival.

Once Sonny made it to the safe house, he told Anna, Valentin and Drew that Laura got caught up in an emergency.

Sonny revealed that Eileen was dead, so Anna and Valentin worried that Victor would come after them now.

In a wooded area, Spencer found Victor and thanked him for taking this meeting.

Victor said he’d do anything for Spencer and assumed this meant Spencer was finally willing to do what needed to be done regarding Esme.

At Kelly’s, Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) quizzed Ava Jerome (Maura West) about Austin’s frequent visits to her Wyndemere.

There was also talk about Esme’s delayed justice, so Ava said she’d have peace once Esme was dealt with.

Later, Ava showed up at GH and came face to face with Esme, who was still holding Ace.

General Hospital spoilers say Ava will have a chance to speak her mind soon enough, so stay tuned!
