General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, November 16, reveals that Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) showed up at the gallery with news on the plea deal Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey) seemed to be taking.
Ava Jerome (Maura West) asked if Mason had agreed to give up Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) and then pointed out she didn’t hear a denial from Austin about the boss’ identity.
Austin admitted that he thought the less Ava knew, the better off she’d be. Ava raged at Austin since she felt he kept secrets to make her easier to manipulate.
After Ava accused Austin of pretending to be her rescuer and friend, she ranted about him playing her the whole time and hiding Nikolas Cassadine’s (Adam Huss) survival.
Austin confessed that Cyrus thought he owned him after paying for his medical school. When Austin helped Cyrus score his Pentonville release, he did it with Ava’s safety in mind.
Ava argued that if it weren’t for Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Dex Heller (Evan Hofer), she’d be deceased at the bottom of a ravine.
Austin hadn’t done enough to help in Ava’s opinion since he didn’t go to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) or rat Cyrus out to the cops.
Ava felt like Austin cared too much about saving his own skin to expose Cyrus, so she called Austin a skulking coward. Despite Austin’s insistence that he had powerful feelings for Ava, she declared that she hated him.
Austin was truly sorry for dragging Ava into all this and genuinely cared about her, but she told him to get out and angrily repeated the order until he did.
At the dorm, Adam Wright (Joshua Benard) showed up at Josslyn’s door hoping they could have another study session.
When Josslyn declined, Adam became desperate and reached out to grab Joss as he begged for an hour.
Dex arrived and shoved Adam away as he warned him to back off. Adam was sorry, but he tried to explain how stressed out he was and once again delivered a plea for more study time with Josslyn.
However, Josslyn felt like she studied better alone and urged Adam to find someone else who could work with his schedule.
Adam got increasingly frantic about needing Josslyn’s help, but he eventually said it was cool and scampered off.
In Adam’s room, he had a tense phone conversation with his dad about understanding the importance of this semester.
Adam assured his father that he wasn’t “doing that anymore” and seemed tempted to tug his hair out despite claiming he was fine.
After Adam hung up, he took some pills from a bottle in his desk and anxiously got back to studying.
Back with Dex, he asked Josslyn what Adam’s deal was. Josslyn explained Adam’s tough situation with his strict parents before talk turned to Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and Spencer Cassadine’s (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) latest drama.
At Sonny’s penthouse, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) felt he needed to ramp up his own security now that she was more certain he was the target of the Metro Court pool attack.
Anna noted that there was no proof that Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) burned her house down, but there was footage of Charlotte breaking in her hotel suite before it was deleted.
After Anna admitted Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) knew about Charlotte stalking her for months, she suggested that his silence may have destroyed them.
As for Charlotte, Anna insisted she needed help and didn’t want her prosecuted in any way. Anna also gave Sonny the news about Jameson Forsythe, their WSB connection and the evidence she had on him.
Once Anna went home, she stared at the bloody spot on the floor and flashed back to the night of the incident. Anna also rummaged through her trunk and went wide-eyed when she realized all the proof on Forsythe was missing.
Back with Sonny, he called Brick (Stephen A. Smith) and pushed him to do a deep dive on Jameson Forsythe.
At home, Dante and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) debated Charlotte’s motives before Anna called to ask if Dante would meet her at Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) old place.
Once Dante joined Anna, he got updates on all the evidence on Forsythe being gone.
At the Home and Heart studio, Maxie told Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) that it was OK for her to have feelings for Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) since he had feelings for Sasha, too.
Cody popped out and revealed he’d been eavesdropping, but he privately confirmed his feelings to Sasha.
Although Sasha appreciated Cody and everything he’d done for her, she warned that she was still grieving Liam Corbin and Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor). Sasha had rushed through her grief before and couldn’t do that again.
Cody wondered if Sasha was giving him a hard no or just a no for now. Sasha admitted it was just no for now, but she couldn’t ask Cody to wait for her.
Cody insisted he was offering to wait and that the decision had already been made. Even if nothing ended up happening, Cody said that was OK, too.
Cody felt that Sasha had given him hope of better things ahead, so he vowed not to pick up the phone the next time Maxie called about a modeling gig.
Meanwhile, Haven de Havilland (Morgan Fairchild) wanted Cody and Sasha to commit to another appearance together.
Maxie felt confident Sasha could handle flying solo, but she admitted Deception had big plans for Cody and Sasha since they made a great team.
When Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) returned home, TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) broke the news about Andrea Gates’ (Lily Anne Harrison) miscarriage and how he found out.
Molly was distraught as she hugged TJ and wondered how this was happening. When Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) showed up to return Molly’s forgotten tablet, her daughter fell into her arms and cried.
Alexis offered comfort and agreed to tell Sam as well as Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) about the tragedy. TJ felt he should tell Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper), but Alexis vowed to take care of informing everybody else.
Back at Sam’s penthouse, Alexis filled her in on Molly’s surrogate losing the baby, so Sam’s heart broke for her sister.
Over with Molly, she deleted everything baby-related that she’d bookmarked on her tablet.
Molly didn’t want to get so excited next time – at least not until the baby was born and in her arms.
TJ admitted that if there was a next time, it would be without Andrea since she couldn’t go through this again.
If they wanted a child, TJ insisted they’d have to look for another surrogate.
General Hospital spoilers say Kristina will step up as the surrogate eventually, so stay tuned!
