General Hospital Recap: Thursday, November 9 – Surprise Marriage Proposal – Cody’s Modeling Debut – Drowning Ned Trapped

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, November 9, reveals that Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) dove in the water to search for “Eddie Quartermaine” aka Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth), who got hung on a net and struggled under the surface.

“Eddie” wound up flashing to some romantic moments with Olivia, including exchanging rings at their wedding.

Olivia swam over to Ned as he lost consciousness and began trying to free him so they could get back above the water.

At Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) penthouse, he was with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) when Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) showed up with info on the items in Charlotte Cassadine’s (Scarlett Fernandez) possession.

After some talk about the keychain that Charlotte seemingly stole, Dante mentioned the spray paint Charlotte had in her backpack – which was the same color and brand as the paint on Anna’s front door.

Anna considered the possibility that her enemy within the WSB was ruthless enough to corrupt a child, so she left to discuss this with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart).

Once Sonny and Dante were alone, they suggested it was far-fetched to think someone from Anna’s past was pulling the strings on this Charlotte situation.

At the Quartermaine mansion, Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) decided to stick around for a while longer and help Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) tame Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) the snake.

Lois was willing to pitch in when it came to outsmarting Tracy and giving Brook Lynn’s friends control of Deception again.

Meanwhile, Salvadore (Matias Ponce) warned Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) that he didn’t work with divas or dopers.

Sasha Gilmore’s (Sofia Mattsson) previous drug use made Salvadore wary, but he eventually agreed to move ahead with the photoshoot.

Later, Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) brought an alpaca over at Maxie’s request for the Eden-themed pics, which led to him being rather transfixed by Sasha’s beauty.

Salvadore ultimately started snapping pics that included Cody, so Maxie argued that he wasn’t a model.

Nevertheless, Salvadore loved the authenticity he was getting from Cody and Sasha with the alpaca – and even Maxie finally saw the vision as she declared it was perfect.

At the café, Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) offered tea and reassurance to Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) since she blamed herself over what happened in Anna’s new apartment.

Stella also opened up about her time in London, where she fell for a British man named George and ultimately rejected his marriage proposal because she didn’t want to move there and leave her family.

At the Metro Court, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) gave Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) updates on the Charlotte news before admitting there was something else they needed to talk about.

Before Laura could reveal Esme Prince’s (Avery Pohl) plan to move out with Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay), Esme walked over to the table and gushed over the perfect apartment she’d found.

Spencer warned Esme to cancel it, but Laura showed her support and vowed to co-sign the lease if she approved of the place. Although Esme declared she was ready to be on her own with Ace, Spencer continued to object.

Esme said it was her job to make decisions for her son and stomped away from the table, but Laura stopped Spencer from going after her.

Spencer asked how Laura could do this and felt that Esme needed him to help take care of Ace.

Laura argued that Ace would always need Spencer as a big brother, but not as a substitute father.

In Laura’s opinion, it was better to make this change now before Ace was old enough to remember things used to be different.

Spencer angrily declared that Laura was wrong and stormed out of the restaurant.

At GH, Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) woke up to Valentin and Nina Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) at her bedside, so she was happy to see them both there together.

Valentin asked if Charlotte remembered what happened, so she recalled going trick-or-treating before Anna shot her.

Nina insisted Anna didn’t know it was Charlotte and felt terrible since she fired at what she thought was an intruder in self-defense.

Charlotte asked what Anna told her papa, but Valentin suggested he hadn’t had a chance to discuss things with her since he’d been focused on Charlotte’s well-being.

Valentin wondered why Charlotte left the others, changed costumes and went to Anna’s apartment, but Nina thought maybe the questions could wait until later.

However, Charlotte said Valentin needed to know what happened and explained that she changed her costume because she knew he wouldn’t like the one based on a tarot card.

As for why Charlotte ended up in Anna’s apartment, she acted like she found the key and only wanted to give it back to her.

Charlotte asked if Valentin was angry, but he assured her that he always loved her.

Nina gave Valentin another nudge to stop with all the questions and let Charlotte rest, so they spoke privately outside.

Valentin was concerned since Charlotte was lying about everything, but Nina pointed out that she was awake and alive.

Nina added that all the other stuff could wait, so Valentin agreed and thanked her for being there for Charlotte.

After Nina took Valentin’s hand and said she was just a phone call away, she vowed to be back tomorrow and headed out.

A little later, Anna showed up at the hospital and locked eyes with Valentin as she approached him.

General Hospital spoilers say Valentin and Anna still have a lot to talk about, so stay tuned!
