General Hospital Recap: Thursday, October 5 – Gladys Exits After Sonny’s Grim Threat – Dr. Montague Arrested

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, October 5, reveals that Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) assured Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) that he hadn’t been hiding out; he’s been making a home for them.

Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) interrupted briefly, but she asked Valentin if she could visit the skateboard park with Jake Webber (Hudson West) and took off in a hurry.

However, Charlotte wound up sneaking around the back and eavesdropping on Valentin’s conversation with Anna, who was upset about him keeping secrets.

Anna didn’t understand why Valentin would keep quiet about the new house, but he made excuses and apologized for handling it all wrong.

Unfortunately, now circumstances had changed, so Valentin admitted he needed to give Charlotte his undivided attention right now.

It wasn’t the right time to ask Anna to move in, but Valentin assured her that they’d eventually move in together and gave her a kiss.

Charlotte flashed back to reading Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) letter and receiving the tarot cards, so she also remembered Victor warning her to use every weapon she could to defeat Anna.

In New York, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) returned to the hotel room with Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) and gushed over the special art tour that he’d arranged.

After lovemaking, room service and more talk about their love for each other, Spencer and Trina reluctantly left their little NYC bubble to return home.

At GH, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) helped Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) flush his eyes since he’d had a pepper spray incident on the job.

That led to Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) finding a watery-eyed Chase and asking if his father had fallen down again.

Chase explained the pepper spray drama and pushed Tracy to come clean about what she knew, so Tracy finally admitted Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) had ALS.

As Finn popped up, Chase realized his brother already knew and lashed out at him for keeping the secret.

Tracy was apologetic over her blunder, but Finn acknowledged that Chase should’ve been told sooner.

Meanwhile, Chase paused in a corner of the hospital and let himself fall to the floor in despair.

At The Invader, Gregory urged Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) to check out the op-ed he wrote and left the room.

Alexis ended up finding Gregory’s bucket list, which had mistakenly been included in the file.

Once Gregory realized Alexis saw it, he wondered if she wanted to help him cross skydiving off next.

Alexis told Gregory to pick something else, so they wound up doing a yoga class together. After it was over, Gregory admitted to Alexis that he still hadn’t told Chase the truth about his diagnosis.

At the PCPD, Mac Scorpio (John McCook) asked for Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) to be taken from his holding cell to the interrogation room, but he got updates on Cody being taken back to Ferncliff.

Next, Cody burst in on Dr. Damon Montague (Darin Toonder) and tried to warn him away from Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson), but Dr. Montague threatened to inject her with so much propofol that she’d never wake up.

Nurse Janice (Lauren Swickard) appeared and threatened to call security, but Dr. Montague warned that she wouldn’t unless she wanted Sasha’s demise on her conscience.

Instead, Dr. Montague ordered Janice to make sure all the doors were open for them with zero alarms and planned to leave with Sasha.

After Cody pummeled Dr. Montague and got him to drop the syringe, Sasha and Janice ran to safety nearby.

Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) arrived and drew his weapon, so Dr. Montague tried to act like Cody was the one threatening him.

Sasha defended Cody before Janice piped up as a witness against Dr. Montague, too.

In a moment alone, Cody told Sasha it was finally over and hugged her since Dr. Montague would face punishment along with Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs).

Dante handcuffed Dr. Montague to the bed in Sasha’s room and explained to Mac that the doc had been drugging Sasha for months.

Thanks to Cody and now Janice’s eyewitness account, Dante felt certain Dr. Montague was going away for a long time.

At one point, Cody cornered Dr. Montague and gloated over the doc’s downfall. Although Dr. Montague thought his lawyers could get him out of this, Cody clearly didn’t agree.

Cody punched Dr. Montague in the gut, but Dante pretended he didn’t see anything and said Dr. Montague should be booked for attempted murder among other things.

Across town, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) pushed Gladys to stop lying since he knew she stole money from Sasha to pay back her gambling debt to Selina Wu (Lydia Look).

Gladys also hired Dr. Montague to make sure she kept the conservatorship going, so Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) explained how Gladys’ poker buddy drugged Sasha and caused hallucinations.

Sonny reflected on how Gladys used Mike Corbin (Max Gail), Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) and finally Sasha, but he also warned that her days of using anyone were over.

Although Gladys tried to defend herself, Sonny didn’t want to hear it and asked Sam to leave them alone.

Gladys feared for her life and pushed Sam to stay, but Sam felt certain Sonny would do what needed to be done.

Sonny took off his jacket and ordered Gladys to sit down, so she did what she was told.

After Sonny pushed Gladys to confess everything without whining, he acted like this was something she needed for her soul.

Gladys recapped the whole story and admitted she locked Sasha into a “living hell,” so Sonny said now Gladys would see what it was going to cost her.

After Frank appeared, Sonny said Frank would take Gladys for a ride back to Bridgeport.

Gladys was basically ordered to stay there, never breathe a word about them being related and never gamble again.

Sonny would know if Gladys went against him on any of this – and if that happened, Frank would take Gladys on another ride that’d be the last one she ever took.

Gladys understood and started to get her luggage, but Sonny told her to leave it since Sasha paid for it! As Sonny stood there glaring, Gladys exited with Frank.

General Hospital spoilers say Sonny will continue to prove he’s the boss of Port Charles, so stay tuned.
