General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, September 28, reveals that Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) showed Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) their hotel suite, so she said it was perfect and kissed Spencer as they enjoyed quality time together in New York City.
Spencer had to take care of some other arrangements, so he left Trina to decompress after their flight. That gave Trina a chance to leave Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) a voicemail and let her know they’d arrived safely.
At Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) house, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) and Donna Corinthos (Scarlett Spears) were all dressed as cowgirls, so they raced around the kitchen in a water fight before the younger sisters sprayed Ava Jerome (Maura West) as she entered.
While Donna and Avery were upstairs, Ava told Josslyn that the doctors were hopeful about Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) condition.
During their conversation, Josslyn also admitted that Trina was lucky to have Ava in her life and that Trina appreciated her.
Next, Trina got Josslyn on a video chat, so Joss asked if she was still feeling ready about her first time with Spencer tonight.
After Trina confirmed that she was, Josslyn said to call her later – though she admitted she didn’t want EVERY detail!
When Spencer returned and dropped some hints about their NYC plans, Trina wondered what else he had in store for them. Spencer teased Trina about some surprises before they had some Champagne and shared a toast.
Once they were both dressed and ready, Spencer gave Trina a necklace as a gift and headed out for their dinner together.
Back with Josslyn, she invited Ava to stay for Chinese food, so Ava said she’d like that very much. Josslyn smiled as Donna and Avery cheered over Ava joining them for their meal.
After pulling some strings for a late visit, Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) met with Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey) and hoped he had positive news on Drew.
Mason didn’t have much info to offer, but Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) had told him that things weren’t looking good. Cyrus eventually started rambling about the devil and a losing hand.
Mason admitted that Betty Rutherford (Ella Lentini) may have gotten too cocky and showed her cards or that she might’ve struck a deal against them.
Cyrus said Mason was an idiot for thinking Betty had joined forces with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) when Ava was the problem that must be dealt with instead.
At GH, Carly thought back to exchanging love declarations with Drew and insisted she’d find a way to get him out of Pentonville.
After Carly worried about complications and sought updates on Drew’s condition, he woke up and said he was doing pretty good. Drew added that he was better with Carly there, so she was thrilled to see him awake.
Carly felt guilty over Drew’s predicament, but he urged her not to blame herself and insisted he was fine.
Elsewhere at the hospital, Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) talked to Warden Garten (Diahnna Nicole Baxter) about how there might’ve been some coordination between prisoners and guards, so she wanted an investigation into who was on duty during Drew’s attack.
Once Jordan brought Warden Garten in Drew’s room, Carly demanded to know how the warden could let this happen and angrily asked what kind of prison she was running.
Jordan insisted Warden Garten was there to help with the case and maybe get Drew in front of another judge.
Warden Garden agreed with Carly about how important it was to get Drew out of Pentonville.
Although Drew didn’t have any helpful details on what happened to him, Warden Garten gave her word that she’d fight to make sure nothing like this happened again.
Once Drew was alone with Carly, he suggested they put all their talk of prison and trials aside. Drew took Carly’s hand and just wanted to enjoy being alone together.
Back at Carly’s house, Josslyn told Ava that her mom called and said Drew woke up.
After Josslyn wondered who tipped off the SEC, she pointed out that person could’ve caused Drew’s grim fate.
In a private moment, Ava called Nina to let her know that Drew was awake.
At the PCPD, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) took Dr. Damon Montague’s (Darin Toonder) statement about Cody Bell (Josh Kelly), but the doc played dumb about the pills found in his pocket.
Dr. Montague acted like Cody might be Sasha’s dealer since someone had been giving her drugs at Ferncliff.
At home, Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) finally agreed to turn herself in and testify against Dr. Montague, so Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattson) said Gladys couldn’t tell the police she was involved.
Sasha insisted Gladys had to speak from her conscience and planned to wait there while Gladys went to the PCPD.
Unfortunately, Gladys betrayed Sasha once she was outside the door and called the cops to come pick Sasha up since she was an escaped fugitive.
Once two officers arrived for Sasha, they dragged her away as she kept asking Gladys why.
Back at the police station, Cody realized Dr. Montague was free to leave and pummeled the doc to stop him.
Once Cody was restrained, he complained to Dante and insisted they couldn’t let Dr. Montague go.
The officers brought Sasha in, so Cody was horrified to learn she was being sent back to Ferncliff.
Cody frantically tried to get through to Mac Scorpio (John J. York), but Sasha still had to return to Ferncliff until they could go through the proper legal channels to free her.
At Ferncliff, an employee strapped Sasha to her bed again as Dante tried to intervene, but Dante was ultimately forced to leave.
As Dr. Montague spoke to Gladys in the PCPD interrogation room, he warned that Sasha would be taken care of. Dr. Montague ominously added that he’d see to it personally.
Sasha was an emotional wreck in her restraints at Ferncliff, where she looked through the window to see a menacing Dr. Montague standing outside her door.
