General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Tuesday, March 14, reveals that Laura Collins (Genie Francis) refused to sell Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) ELQ shares and insisted Charlotte would have to make the decision when she was older. Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) ultimately understood and acted like it was still better than Valentin being in charge of them.
At GH, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) talked to Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) about the pathogen in his bloodstream and how it was highly uncommon for it to cause one specific issue like that.
Finn also had reason to believe that Victor had been deliberately infected, so he asked if Victor had any enemies and suspected he ate or drank something that caused this in late November or early December.
Although Victor wanted to treat the problem, Finn admitted the damage was not known to be reversible.
At the Metro Court, Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) wanted to help Cody Bell (Josh Kelly), but Mac Scorpio (John J. York) said it wasn’t their responsibility since he wasn’t family – though Felicia suggested it still felt like he was sometimes.
At the Quartermaine stables, Cody came clean to Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) about initially using Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and lying to Mac about the first DNA results.
Cody got a second set of DNA results hoping that he could convince Mac there was a mistake, but then he deceived him again.
Dante was concerned over all Cody’s lies and warned against telling more of them.
Instead, Dante urged Cody to confess everything to Mac and didn’t see why he’d want to cheat them both out of a father-son relationship.
Cody acted like Mac was better off and refused to commit to coming clean as Dante left.
Back at the Metro Court, Victor looked glum as he ordered a scotch at the bar.
Once Victor remembered that the pathogen came from something he ate or drank, he got the bartender to pour from a new bottle.
Mac cornered Victor to scold him about avoiding the police, who were looking for Victor since Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) ratted him out for destroying evidence.
Victor called that hearsay, but Mac warned that he could go after Victor for obstruction of justice.
However, Victor insisted he didn’t have a clue where Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) was and advised Mac to get in touch with his lawyer if he had any more questions.
Once Victor thought back to Laura’s threat recently, he approached her table and assumed she was the one who targeted him.
Laura didn’t know what Victor was talking about, but Victor made it clear that she’d pay dearly now that she’d struck the first blow.
At the safe house, Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) was an angry, weepy mess over missing out on all the Nurses Ball planning, but Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) forced her to accept that sacrifices must be made.
That said, Anna was disappointed over not being part of the Nurses Ball, too.
Anna also talked to Valentin about using the redacted report to give Victor false necklace codes and see where the coordinates led him.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) was feeling under the weather, but Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) had been deputized to help with Nurses Ball planning.
Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) worried that the Nurses Ball wouldn’t even happen if they couldn’t get Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) to cooperate, especially on short notice.
Once Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) arrived and got updates on the situation, she wanted to help plan the event and wished she could save them from having to involve Nina.
When Nina walked in, she wondered what Carly was trying to keep from her this time.
After Nina learned the Nurses Ball was happening in three weeks, she acknowledged that was awfully soon.
Even so, Nina was sure they could work something out and learned Olivia had already given her blessing for the use of the Metro Court.
Maxie pushed for peace and hoped they could all work together to make the Nurses Ball a big success.
Once Nina requested a moment alone with Carly, she admitted this was about Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) health.
Carly argued that if Willow wanted Nina to know something, then Willow would tell her.
Nina argued that Willow already opened up to her about some medical news and assumed she told Carly to keep her in the loop.
Carly insisted she hadn’t been told that, but Drew showed up and suggested they could ask Willow as well as Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) the best way to share info.
Nina wound up getting agitated and warned that Carly was no longer the gatekeeper when it came to secrets.
Before Nina left, she suggested Carly and Drew would do well to remember she knows a lot more than they think she does.
Drew had to stop Carly from lunging at Nina as she sauntered out.
At the warehouse, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) grilled the sniper about who he worked for, but the guy sputtered out that it was a contractor and that the deal was anonymous.
A discreet doctor was brought in, but he couldn’t keep the sniper alive long enough for Sonny to grill him any further.
Sonny got the doc to patch Dex up before Brick (Stephen A. Smith) got the gunman’s phone.
There was only one contact and one message involving the address and time.
The only things found on the sniper were a key fob and a matchbook, which Dex recognized since it was for The Highsider biker bar.
Sonny praised Dex for saving his life before Brick agreed to seek more phone data and the ballistics on the rifle.
After Brick exited, Sonny urged Tony and Dex to take care of the sniper’s body, but Dex suddenly seemed woozy as he fell back into Sonny’s arms.
Since Dex had lost a lot of blood and was coming down from all the adrenaline, Sonny pushed him to rest and drink some water.
Sonny also insisted on taking Dex back to his place tonight and said that was an order.
When Brick returned, he said the shooter was like a ghost and had an untraceable record. That let Brick know that Sonny had a very powerful enemy.
Brick assumed this guy was contracted by a professional outfit or possibly even an agency.
After Dex guessed the CIA or WSB, Sonny said that whoever it was would be “very, very sorry.”
