General Hospital Recap: Wednesday, April 12 – Victor’s Hideout in Venezuela – Trina’s Close Call – Anna Awakens

General Hospital (GH) recap for Wednesday, April 12, reveals that Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) showed up at Josslyn Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) dorm room to fill her in on Liesl Obrecht’s (Kathleen Gati) disappearance and Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) transplant delay.

Josslyn and Carly also talked about Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) admitting he’d known about Joss’ romance with Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) for months.

After Josslyn mentioned Dex saving Sonny’s life, Carly was upset that she was just now hearing about Dex getting shot.

Josslyn wanted to keep the focus on Liesl along with Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) and Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay) since they were missing, too.

As for Willow’s fate, Carly and Josslyn knew they may have to prepare for a miracle that wouldn’t come.

At the Quartermaine gatehouse, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) talked with Willow while Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) was calling Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) for updates.

Although Michael was staying positive, Willow felt she had to face facts since Liesl may not be found in time to save her.

That meant Willow couldn’t wait until after the transplant to throw a big wedding.

Willow worried bumping up the marriage timeline again would mean telling Michael that she was giving up.

However, Sasha and Brook Lynn felt that Michael could hang onto hope while still giving Willow this celebration.

Once Brook Lynn and Sasha assured Willow that Michael would understand, he overheard that last part and wondered what they were talking about.

At the PCPD, Dante admitted the transponder from The Haunted Star was found sitting on a buoy, so he wasn’t able to track the ship any further than that.

When Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) showed up to give her statement, she was annoyed over other cases being prioritized and acted like Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) should pay for his crime.

Once Dante entered the interrogation room, Cody said he couldn’t afford an attorney and his public defender would just try to get him to plead guilty for something he didn’t do.

Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) showed up since Cody’s one phone call had been to her, so she asked how she could help.

While Dante was off working on the other investigations, Cody pushed Sam to bail him out and help him convince the judge that he wasn’t a flight risk.

Cody assured Sam that Gladys set him up and hinted about Sasha needing to be warned about something.

Sam kept trying to push for the details, but Cody would only reveal that Gladys was in trouble and that it could blow back on Sasha.

When Sam wondered why Cody cared, he admitted he’d kind of become friends with Sasha.

Cody just needed Sam to get him out of police custody and let him take care of the rest.

Once it was time for Cody’s arraignment, Gladys seemed smug about him landing behind bars.

Sam let Gladys know that Cody would make bail and followed after him.

At GH, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) berated Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) since he wasn’t getting any news on Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) condition.

Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) caught Valentin lashing out at Portia, so he made it clear that was enough.

Once Portia spoke to another doctor and learned Anna was out of surgery, Valentin apologized for his earlier behavior and was eager to visit unconscious Anna.

Curtis didn’t want to alarm Portia, but he asked if she’d heard from Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) lately.

Portia grew concerned since Trina’s phone went straight to voicemail and texts weren’t being delivered to her.

Back at Josslyn’s dorm room, Dante showed up looking for Trina and learned she hadn’t been seen since the Nurses Ball.

Josslyn realized Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) likely had Trina too, so she grew even more worried about this whole hostage situation.

Dante met up with Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) at the hospital, where they approached Portia about Trina’s disappearance.

On The Haunted Star, Trina snuck back in Spencer’s room after finding the communications room overnight.

Although Trina wasn’t able to get to it, she assumed there was a radio in there and felt like this could be their way off the ship.

When Spencer heard Victor approaching, he warned Trina to hide.

Trina got under the bed, but she quickly realized she dropped her purse where Victor could potentially see it.

Once Victor saw that the deadbolt on Spencer’s room was unlatched, he looked suspicious.

Spencer emerged from the shower and played dumb before complaining about being forced into this voyage.

Trina kept trying to reach for her nearby purse from under the bed, but she couldn’t quite reach it.

Spencer did his best to distract Victor so that he wouldn’t see it and find out Trina was hiding out.

After Spencer said he didn’t take orders from him, Victor warned Spencer to adjust his tone and mentioned that Valentin knew what happened when he was crossed. Victor hated for Spencer to have to learn that lesson the hard way.

Spencer assumed that since Victor was keeping him locked up, his great-uncle must be afraid of him and what he might do.

Victor talked about freedom being something that must be earned, but Spencer said he just wanted to have breakfast in the dining room, see his brother and have the deadbolt removed.

Victor relented on the breakfast in the dining room part and left to make the arrangements.

On his way out, Victor warned his henchman about the deadly consequences if he found that deadbolt unlatched again.

Once Trina came out of hiding, she feared they were trapped. Spencer insisted that Victor thought he had him all figured out, but his great-uncle just made a terrible mistake.

That led to Spencer coming up with a plan to create a diversion while Trina headed for the communication room.

Just in case something went wrong, Spencer wanted Trina to know she was the best thing that ever happened to him.

Trina cut Spencer off with a kiss and insisted this wasn’t the end for them.

As they prepared to take a huge risk together, Trina assured Spencer that they could do this.

At the hospital, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) flashed back to when she was trapped on the boat as a young woman and feared history was repeating itself with Spencer and Ace.

Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) wondered where Victor might go, so Laura assumed it’d be someplace isolated where he’d have some kind of pull with the authorities.

After mulling it over, Laura realized the Cassadines had a hideout on the coast of Venezuela that was indeed completely isolated.

You couldn’t even get to it except by boat, so Felicia thought they were on the right track and knew someone who could help get them in and out of the country.

Back with Valentin, he learned the bullet had been removed and that it had missed Anna’s major organs.

Anna had lost a lot of blood and had gone into cardiac arrest during surgery, but her doctors were thankfully able to get her heart going again.

Valentin sat by Anna’s bedside and took her hand as he pushed her to come back to him.

After Valentin promised Victor would pay and begged Anna to wake up, he put his head down on the bed and cried.

Anna was on a ventilator following her ordeal, but her eyes finally fluttered open.

General Hospital spoilers say Valentin and Anna still have a chance at a bright future, so stay tuned.
