General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, April 19, reveals that Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) was discharged from GH, but she asked to speak with Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) since she was terrified for Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay).
Although Ace didn’t have any supplies for his colic, both Austin and Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) assured Esme that it wouldn’t turn into a serious crisis or have lasting effects.
Liz also pointed out that Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) would look out for Ace, so Esme seemed concerned over the idea that her baby didn’t need her.
However, Austin praised Esme for being a good mother, so she was grateful to both Austin and Liz for their comforting words.
Later, Amy Driscoll (Risa Dorken) kept staring at Austin, so Elizabeth finally asked if there was something the doctor could help her with.
Amy said she might be able to help Austin instead and warned him away from Ava Jerome (Maura West) since she’d seen the two of them looking chummy at the Nurses Ball.
Liz made it clear that it was none of Amy’s business and sent her off to work.
Austin wound up downplaying the situation with Ava and suggested things weren’t always what they seemed.
As Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) strategized with Laura Collins (Genie Francis), Esme interrupted and met Curtis again since she didn’t remember the first time.
While Esme was getting a drink from the cafeteria, Curtis admitted he didn’t know how Laura lived with Esme under her roof.
Laura pointed out that Esme was the mother of her grandson and suggested she felt like a different person now.
After Laura talked about what a complicated thing the human memory was, she mentioned Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and gave Curtis an idea on how to find the ship.
When it was time for Laura to leave with Esme, the distraught mom was reluctant to go home with her.
Laura wondered if Esme didn’t feel safe, but Esme was just upset over Ace not being there.
On The Haunted Star, Trina met back up with Spencer and revealed that she made it to the communications room.
Trina showed off the walkie-talkie that she stole so they could hear updates and said she was able to deliver the coordinates to Laura and the others.
After Spencer talked about Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) global extermination plans, Trina decided to sneak in the engine room and try to slow the ship down.
Once Victor berated his henchmen for all the problems happening, he brought Ace to Spencer since he wouldn’t stop crying.
Spencer figured it was due to Ace’s colic and was pleased to be reunited with his little brother.
Victor ended up admitting Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) was alive during his visit to Spencer’s room – though he suggested Valentin would soon wish he was dead along with anyone else who stood in his way.
After Trina snuck in the engine room as planned, Victor received word about a damaged electrical cable.
Between that and the missing walkie-talkie, Victor seemed to realize they had a stowaway and wanted some instructions followed to the letter.
Once Spencer was brought out to the dining area, Victor acted like he’d had a change of heart about letting him eat.
Spencer was confused, but Victor noted that he was holding all the cards now.
When a guard dragged Trina in moments later, Spencer looked alarmed over her capture.
At the GH chapel, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) filled Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) in on Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) moving up their wedding, so she knew this meant they were running out of time.
Sonny tried to put a positive spin on things and was taken aback when Michael called hoping to meet up with him.
Michael eventually arrived at the chapel, so Nina wished the happy couple well on their big day and made herself scarce.
After Michael invited Sonny to the wedding, he clarified that this was a solo invite.
Sonny realized Nina wasn’t getting an invitation and looked over to see that Nina had overheard the news.
Although Sonny thought maybe he shouldn’t attend, Nina pushed him to go celebrate.
s Nina got choked up, she asked Michael and Sonny to tell Willow that she was thinking of her.
Once Nina rushed out, Sonny wondered if Michael really wanted him at the nuptials.
Michael confirmed that he wanted to do what was best for the family, so Sonny decided he would indeed come to the ceremony.
At Wyndemere, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) showed up with a little basket and got Avery Corinthos’ (Ava and Grace Scarola) enthusiastic approval on being a flower girl.
Once Carly was alone with Ava Jerome (Maura West), she struggled to understand Ava’s friendship with Nina – the woman who immobilized Ava and forced her to give birth to Avery.
Ava admitted she tried not to think about that and felt that Nina changed after getting the help she needed.
After Ava talked about friendship being better than bitter resentment, Carly seemed irritated.
Nevertheless, Ava thought Carly had the perfect opportunity to broker peace between Nina and Willow.
Despite Ava’s passionate plea since Nina was running out of time, Carly felt it wasn’t her call to make.
Willow was the one who set the boundaries when it came to Nina.
Carly suggested that maybe Ava was trying so hard to fix things for Nina because she couldn’t fix what was happening with Trina.
Ava hadn’t heard about the kidnapping crisis until now, so she immediately freaked out and wanted to go see Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr).
Carly agreed to stay with sleeping Avery, so she was the one who answered the door when a surprised Nina arrived.
General Hospital spoilers say Nina and Carly have more clashing to do, so stay tuned!
