General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, December 27, reveals that Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) summoned Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) and Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) for a conversation about the surrogacy, which was complicated by the fact that Kristina was the egg donor.
Alexis pointed out that Molly and Kristina’s commitment to each other wasn’t the same as a legally binding agreement.
This wasn’t as simple as signing a contract since the child-parent security act was new and could easily be challenged.
Genetic surrogacy contracts also weren’t enforceable in the state of New York, but Kristina said she could just get pregnant in a different state.
Alexis remained concerned about all the loopholes and wanted to make sure her daughters’ best interests were protected.
Kristina wondered if Alexis was really just trying to protect Molly from her. It seemed like Alexis didn’t trust Kristina to abide by the agreement.
Alexis insisted that wasn’t the case, but she suggested adoption as a workaround to ensure everything would be squared away legally.
Molly said she’d look into it, but Alexis pointed out that she already had and wanted to go over all the details.
Kristina piped up that Molly was the lawyer here – not Alexis. Although Kristina ultimately apologized for dismissing her mom’s legal expertise,
Alexis realized she was overstepping and promised to back off.
Molly talked about this journey being one of hope and trust. Kristina agreed that their bond was stronger than the legalities and suggested nothing could ever make them forget they were sisters.
At GH, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) found Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) in an exam room receiving fluids and learned that he’d gotten overheated during hot yoga.
While Gregory’s doctor examined him, Finn spoke with the class instructor and learned Gregory had actually collapsed.
Gregory’s doctor wanted to keep him overnight for observation, so Gregory reluctantly agreed – though he made it clear that he was out of there in 24 hours since he had New Year’s Eve plans.
At home, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) was running late for a leadership meeting at Deception, but she stopped for some wedding talk with Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard).
When Brook Lynn suddenly seemed eager to move up the nuptials, Chase objected since he wanted to do this right and for keeps this time.
Chase wondered what was up with Brook Lynn, so she admitted Gregory’s Christmas wish was for them to marry soon.
Finn eventually called Chase to offer updates on Gregory’s fall, so Chase rushed to the hospital.
After Finn expressed concern about Gregory losing consciousness, he pointed out that Gregory insisted he simply overdid it.
Chase suggested maybe they should accept Gregory’s explanation and have faith. A little positivity couldn’t hurt in Chase’s opinion.
Once the doctor gave Finn and Chase the news about keeping Gregory overnight for observation, Chase mentioned something about Gregory dancing at the wedding this spring.
Gregory seemed pleased over the wedding happening that fast, but Chase just acted like he simply couldn’t wait to marry Brook Lynn.
At Deception, Maxie Jones (temporarily played by Nicole Paggi) tried to play referee for Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) and Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot), but she failed miserably.
Lucy went on a tirade about how Luke Spencer’s (Anthony Geary) true love was Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and how Tracy had nothing to live for since Luke passed away.
Tracy fought back with some jabs of her own, but Lucy’s were far worse since she acted like Tracy’s family barely tolerated her.
As far as Lucy was concerned, Tracy was going to die unloved and unlovable.
Brook Lynn overheard some of Lucy’s comments when she arrived, so she warned Lucy not to talk to her grandmother that way.
After Brook Lynn defended Tracy’s relationship with Luke, she argued that her family loved her and ranted about how Lucy could never understand that.
Once Brook Lynn trashed Lucy’s track record with men, Lucy stomped off and forced them to hold the meeting without her.
Tracy was grateful to Brook Lynn, who insisted she meant every word of what she said.
At Kelly’s, Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) talked to Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) about her belief that Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) lied about the DNA test.
Once Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) entered, Felicia also spoke to him about Cody dropping the lawsuit regarding the destroyed necklace that belonged to Leopold Taub.
That left Felicia even more convinced that Cody was Mac Scorpio’s (John J. York) son, but Robert wasn’t a fan of Cody and wondered if Mac really needed to know.
Felicia argued that Mac had a right to, but Robert felt that it’d be difficult to prove.
Even so, Felicia thought wouldn’t be that tough for her and seemed determined to uncover the truth.
Back with Scott, Lucy joined him and proposed a plan where they could be big winners in 2024.
Lucy announced that Scott was going to marry Tracy and then they’d take her for everything she had!
In the Quartermaine stables, Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) found Cody and warned him that Felicia seemed genuinely skeptical about the DNA results – especially since Cody never showed her the printout.
Sasha thought Cody should come clean before he got busted, but Cody couldn’t do that since he was deposed before the lawsuit was dropped.
Cody signed an affidavit and swore that he was Leo’s son, so he could do jail time if he came clean now.
Sasha suggested that Cody had changed a lot in recent months and thought he could avoid prison, but Cody was adamant about protecting Mac’s reputation.
If Cody ever decided to come clean, Sasha said she’d be right by his side. If not, Sasha vowed to keep the secret forever.
Of course, Sasha pointed out that Cody’s secret could still be exposed since Felicia was determined to dig for answers.
General Hospital spoilers say Cody has some other tight spots ahead of him, so stick with the ABC soap.
