General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, October 18, reveals that Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) wondered if Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) wanted some company and got in bed with him.
Portia missed their closeness, but Curtis wasn’t sure he’d ever be able to make love to her and give her what she needed.
Although Curtis’ doctor said he should be able to function in that way, Curtis pointed out that there was a psychological barrier that went beyond the physical one.
Portia assured Curtis that she wasn’t going anywhere no matter what and felt closer to him since he was vulnerable enough to let her in.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) ripped into Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) for selfishly taking advantage of Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton), but Tracy argued that she got the company for her granddaughter.
Lois was surprised over the news that Tracy was giving Deception to Brook Lynn lock, stock and barrel.
Tracy admitted she was getting her one percent of ELQ back, but she also wanted to make sure Brook Lynn was more than a glorified assistant.
Since Tracy didn’t want Brook Lynn to waste her life on music, she acted like BLQ would be all set now that she owned 51 percent of Deception.
Lois insisted Brook Lynn would want no part of the company after the way Tracy got it, but Tracy hinted about BLQ’s Quartermaine genes and felt like she was more like her grandmother than Lois wanted to admit.
In Puerto Rico, Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) and Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) grew closer over frozen margaritas.
Although Blaze was tempted to take the Face of Deception gig, she confessed she wasn’t sure she wanted to give up what was left of her privacy.
Blaze craved superstardom, but she also wanted to be able to date who she wanted and have a personal life.
Kristina understood, but Blaze pointed out the upside of fame was that they never would’ve met if Kristina hadn’t recognized her.
At GH, Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) realized his new patient was his cousin, so he couldn’t take the lead and had to summon another doctor for unconscious Mason Gatlin-Holt (Nathanyael Grey).
Austin privately pushed Mason to wake up and tell him where Ava Jerome (Maura West) was, but Mason said he had no idea when he opened his eyes.
The last thing Mason could remember was Ava screaming.
After Mason’s doctor examined him and determined that the bullets didn’t pierce his spine, he sent Mason off to surgery.
At Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) place, she came home and pushed Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) to tell her what was going on.
A frazzled Ava showed up with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Dex Heller (Evan Hofer), but she assured Carly that she’d be OK once she saw Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola).
Carly got updates on Ava’s kidnapping ordeal along with Dex and Dante’s roles in the rescue.
Damian Spinelli’s (Bradford Anderson) help was also mentioned as Carly reeled over the night’s events.
Once Josslyn realized Dex could’ve gone over the cliff edge if Dante hadn’t shown up, she rushed into her boyfriend’s arms.
Ava felt better after sitting by sleeping Avery’s bedside, so Carly offered to let her stay the night.
Josslyn also gave Ava back her phone, so Ava expressed her gratitude for everything Joss and Dex did to save her.
Meanwhile, Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) was handling some police business for Mac Scorpio (John J. York) since he was busy dealing with the Pautuck PD.
They weren’t pleased with Dante going after Mason since it happened outside of his jurisdiction.
Jordan warned Dante that there’d be an investigation and sent him home on administrative leave.
As for Austin, he cornered Jordan for details the situation since Mason was his cousin and he was close to Ava, too.
Jordan revealed that Mason was being charged with kidnapping and two counts of attempted murder.
Austin also learned that Ava was shaken up, but she wasn’t harmed. After Austin expressed his gratitude to Jordan, he called Ava’s number and hoped she’d pick up.
Once Ava accepted a drink back at Carly’s place, she saw that Austin was calling and chose not to answer it.
After Josslyn stepped outside with Dex, she asked how close he came to going over the cliff edge himself.
Dex confessed that he would’ve fallen if Dante hadn’t been there, but he gave Josslyn credit for saving his life since she told Dante where to go.
Back on Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) island, he continued to celebrate his new marriage in bed with Nina Corinthos (Cynthia Watros), but their bliss was interrupted by Carly’s shocking phone call.
Carly filled Sonny in on Mason kidnapping Ava and let him know Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) was out of prison, so a furious Sonny told Nina they’d be leaving first thing in the morning.
“Of course it was him all along,” Sonny muttered as he got out of bed.
Next, Sonny tracked down Kristina while she was with Blaze to inform his daughter about the early departure as well.
At the hospital, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) stopped by Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) room with an outstanding swimmer award plaque that Scout Cain (Cosette Abinante) wanted her daddy to see.
Drew was grateful and looked forward to being at Scout’s meets again eventually.
Once Jordan met back up with Austin, she asked if he could think of any reason why Mason would abduct Ava.
Austin insisted that Mason had always been a wildcard, so he couldn’t speak to any of his motivations ever.
After Austin took off in a hurry, Jordan stood there looking rather perplexed over how flustered he’d seemed.
Back with Dante, he came home to Sam and joined her in bed. Sam learned Dante had been placed on administrative leave and heard the story of Ava getting snatched.
When Sam wondered why Ava was targeted, Dante said that was what they were trying to figure out.
Since Carly agreed to tell Sonny, Dante pointed out that his father wasn’t going to be too happy about all this!
General Hospital spoilers say Sonny will unleash his fury soon, so stay tuned to the ABC soap.
