General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Ingo Rademacher’s (Jasper “Jax” Jacks) lawsuit against ABC has been dismissed, so the network has emerged victorious in a battle over the COVID-19 vaccine and whether Rademacher should’ve been exempt for religious beliefs.
Rademacher filed the lawsuit in December 2021, but Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Stephen Goorvitch ultimately ruled in ABC’s favor.
It was determined that Rademacher had health-related complaints instead of religious ones, so he didn’t qualify for an exemption.
GH fans may recall the Disney mandate that required everyone working on the show to get the vaccine or else they’d be let go.
Ingo Rademacher was fired and fought back over what he felt was wrongful termination, but his lawsuit obviously didn’t work out the way he wanted.
ABC’s lawyer insisted Rademacher’s testimony was about not wanting to alter his immune system rather than something rooted in any core religious beliefs.
Although Rademacher pointed to a book called Revelations of Ramala to defend his claims, the network was skeptical since Rademacher admitted he hadn’t read it in three decades and he initially didn’t own a copy anymore.
Rademacher’s attorney defended his client’s beliefs and insisted they weren’t something he fabricated just to score a religious exemption, but the judge ruled against him anyway and gave the win to ABC.
Of course, many viewers have wondered about the fate of Jax and whether he might be recast or killed off to offer a permanent end to the character.
Time will tell, but the show seems content to just leave Jax offscreen in Australia and not mentioned much for now.
That could change depending on what happens in Josslyn Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) dangerous GH storyline since they might need an excuse for why her father’s not around.
Considering all the bad blood due to Ingo Rademacher’s firing and this lawsuit, any future Jax appearances would surely be played by another actor.
General Hospital spoilers say Josslyn will have the rest of her family to lean on once chaos potentially strikes for Dex Heller (Evan Hofer), so stay tuned for updates on any gloomy news to come.
