General Hospital Spoilers suggest Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) are facing quite a predicament, but it seems like there’s a storm brewing in the distance. Yes, we’re talking about Carly’s ex-hubby, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), the guy who always seems to have one foot in the door despite Carly’s best efforts to keep him out. It’s a delicate balancing act – protecting her present while aiding her past.
We all know that the heart wants what it wants, even if it’s not necessarily what’s best for us. The question is, when the chips are down and the going gets tough, whose side will Carly be on? Is she going to let Sonny worm his way back into her heart by saving her from herself — again?

It’s a tale as old as time — the ex-lovers who can’t quite shake off their feelings for each other.
Carly may try to convince herself that she’s moved on from Sonny, but it was written all over her face how bothered she was when he stepped in to help her and Drew at the PCPD. When the mob boss comes to her rescue (again), it’ll look like Carly is trying to resist the urge to swoon.
Of course, her pride won’t allow her to admit that she still feels something for her former flame. It’s easier to demonize him in her mind and ignore the torch she’s carrying for him.
We’ve been enjoying the tension between these two but it’s starting to sound like they’re finally going to confront their feelings head-on as they’re forced to couple up for the sake of keeping Carly out of jail.
When Sonny proposes they get married to protect her from his potential testimony, it’ll give her a lot to think about.
GH Spoilers Hint Drew Has Other Plans
Of course, Drew could have his own ideas about what the best approach is to keep them both free and clear from the SEC.
Sonny may have to testify against them, but it could help their case if they — Carly and Drew — got hitched. Shew! That’s going to throw Carly for a loop.
They just took their relationship quasi-public and now he wants to get married? The problem is, Carly won’t agree.

Why is it so much easier for Carly to consider marrying a man who betrayed her than one who loves her?
Maybe it’s that she knows she can weather the storm with Sonny, but she’s likely to paint it as knowing it’s all for show.
Carly may not want to ruin what she’s got with Drew by forcing their relationship into a marriage neither of them are ready for yet.
That being said, marrying Sonny won’t help her union with Drew. What to do…what to do. Who will Carly wed?
