General Hospital Spoilers suggest Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) has been busy shoring up his contacts on the outside and making a go of it looking like a blue collar ex-con just trying to rebuild his life. He hasn’t lost his temper outside of that scuffle — or two — with Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey), but there is reason to suspect he may have put a couple of bullets in Austin Gatlin Holt’s (Roger Howarth) chest.
Nevertheless, all of the attention on Cyrus seems to be in response to Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) kidnapping and Austin’s twisted sense of loyalty to the guy for far too long.
What has been glossed over is how very much he might be wrapped up in what’s happening to Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez). Is Cyrus pulling the puppet strings in Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) absence?
General Hospital Spoilers – Victor Did His Own Dirty Work
For a time, Victor had his tentacles wrapped around his granddaughter, and she fell easily for the lies he peddled about Anna Devane (Finola Hughes).
Instilling a deep-seated fear into Charlotte that Anna wasn’t safe to have around her father and needed to be extracted from their orbit was the easy part.
Continuing that plan while Victor is supposedly dead is another. We can think of no one more sinister and apt to take those reins from Victor than Cyrus, can you?
GH Spoilers Leak – The Tarot Cards Were Just the Beginning
Just as Victor had once entranced Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and controlled his every move with those cards, we can imagine that the same mechanism of action can be deployed with Charlotte now.
The tarot cards may have been used to hypnotize or otherwise brainwash the young girl into going on the attack toward Anna.
At the same time, Cyrus may be positioned to make contact with her and usher in similar orders like those that Victor once gave Drew.
That means Charlotte could end up taking more action against Anna — and paying for it, all while it looks like she did it upon her own free will.
General Hospital Spoilers – Blindsided is an Understatement
We hear you. Some fans have been screaming at the televisions as Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and Laura Collins (Genie Francis) continue to gloss over the truth as though it’s not right in front of them.
If Victor gave Charlotte those tarot cards, then it stands to reason that he used them in some way against her.
It’s not likely that the same mechanism of control he used on Drew wouldn’t be deployed here.
There are any number of gifts he could have bestowed upon his granddaughter. Why tarot cards? Because they worked so well, of course!
Suffice it to say this may be one of those times when Valentin and Laura are shocked that Victor— and now Cyrus — will be able to activate Charlotte as their puppet, even though GH fans seem to know it’s coming.
