General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Cameron Webber (William Lipton) is understandably livid with Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and her “wannabe mobster boytoy” right now. Josslyn slept with Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) before dumping Cameron and thought she could get away with keeping that under wraps.
Of course, Josslyn ultimately confessed her betrayal, but that’s only because Cam confronted her about it.
At least Josslyn came clean, but that doesn’t make the cheating part any less painful!
Josslyn could’ve shown a little self-restraint and made sure she found Cameron before the hookup happened.
However, Joss had already been sneaking around with Dex and sharing kisses with him nonstop, so the betrayal was already underway.
Now Cameron is furious and devastated, so he’s hoping that karma is coming for Josslyn.
On GH’s January 24 episode, Cam pointed out that he believes what goes around comes around.
Since Cameron looked forward to the day Dex cheats on Josslyn, we have to wonder if that’s a huge anvil. Will Cam’s prediction seal these lovers’ tragic future?
Josslyn and Dex are crazy about each other right now, but that doesn’t mean they’ll stay loyal forever.
That’s especially true since Josslyn is stubborn and may refuse to let Dex go if he pushes her away.
For example, it’s easy to imagine a scenario where Dex cheats on Josslyn to convince her they don’t belong together.
After all the drama blows up with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and eventually Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), Dex may feel like this romance is just too complicated.
Perhaps Dex will tell Josslyn it was a mistake to get involved in the first place and attempt to break things off. If Josslyn stands her ground and doesn’t care about all the naysayers, Dex may give her a reason to care.
It’d be simple for Dex to find someone else’s bed to land in. By hurting Josslyn, Dex might feel like he’s protecting her in his own warped way of thinking.
That’d be a good strategy to make Cameron’s cheating prediction come true while keeping some hope alive for Josslyn and Dex’s future.
If Dex’s heart is in the right place, it could help the lovers overcome the potentially tragic twist.
Cameron might soften toward Josslyn if she actually gets betrayed down the road.
That might also set up a renewed friendship between Joss and Cam despite his current insistence that he’s done with her.
Cameron is a forgiving guy who’ll surely let the past go sooner or later, but Josslyn may have to suffer before that happens!
