General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) will pay the price for withholding valuable information. To be fair, Carly doesn’t realize Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) is battling leukemia, but that’s still no excuse for all the lying and sabotaging she’s been doing.
Carly deceived Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) about the DNA test results and claimed Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) wasn’t Willow’s bio mom after all.
Ever since Drew kicked off his search for Willow’s birth parents, Carly has also been sinking his efforts every step of the way.
GH writers have already established that Drew isn’t like Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).
Drew may be Jason’s twin, but he’s not the same totally loyal man who’ll give Carly a pass for major mistakes.
Jason accepted Carly’s flaws and could’ve easily gotten past something like this, but Drew may break up with Carly permanently.
Drew has a rosy, unrealistic view of Carly, so the illusion’s going to shatter soon enough. Jason, on the other hand, saw Carly for who she truly was and loved her anyway.
Carly could get back together with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) somewhere down the line, but plenty of fans are over “CarSon” these days.
Likewise, Carly and Drew feel like a forced, awkward pairing, so many viewers won’t be sorry to see them split.
What’s the solution when it comes to Carly’s disastrous love life? Perhaps the show needs to cast a new man for Carly – a Jason-ish type of character who doesn’t mind if Carly’s problematic.
We’re not saying it’d have to be a Jason recast or some kind of knockoff version.
Carly just needs someone she can be her true self with, so the show might replace that role in her life.
There aren’t a lot of other love interest options for Carly on canvas at the moment, so maybe they could cast someone brand-new for Carly to fall for.
Regardless, Carly should find herself lonely and single soon, so she’ll need someone to lean on.
