General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) worst fear will come true after Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) lands in grave danger. When Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) presented the idea of seeking Drew’s help at Pentonville, Carly was immediately concerned.
It turns out Carly’s instincts will be proven correct when Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) apparently retaliates against Drew.
GH fans watched as Cyrus became privy to Drew’s mission since he was eavesdropping around the corner.
Now Cyrus knows that Drew is fishing for answers about who Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) visited.
It shouldn’t be hard for Cyrus to put the clues together and determine that Drew has become Sonny’s spy on the inside.
Cyrus appreciated the way Drew stepped up to save his life, but that won’t spare him from what’s coming.
During the week of September 18-22, Drew will become a target and end up in real peril.
It looks like that’ll lead to a hospital crisis during the week of September 25-29.
Drew will have to be in pretty bad shape if he needs more help than the prison infirmary can offer.
Sadly, Drew could wind up in a fight for his life after sustaining serious injuries.
Cyrus doesn’t usually do his own dirty work, so he may order someone else to take Drew out.
That could be why Sonny will race to GH and express regret soon after.
Carly will also blow up at Sonny in a big way, so she’ll clearly be furious with him for dragging Drew into this dangerous mess.
Of course, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will feel terrible since her decision to report Carly and Drew for their SEC violation indirectly led to this outcome.
If Nina hadn’t done what she did, Drew wouldn’t have gone to prison and wouldn’t have landed in such a dangerous position.
That said, Drew knew he was playing with fire and could’ve said no!
Nobody forced Drew to put himself in harm’s way by digging for the truth, but Nina and Sonny will battle guilt for different reasons anyway.
