General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) still hasn’t received a visit from Nikolas Cassadine, but she assured Laura Collins (Genie Francis) that she wouldn’t mind one.
Esme assumes Nikolas will be as kind as Laura and Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) have been and has no idea that Nik held her hostage before her parapet jump.
Of course, if Nikolas has his way, then Esme will never remember anything at all.
Nikolas wants to keep Esme in this amnesiac state and will turn to Carolyn Webber (Denise Crosby) to make it happen.
Carolyn has proven she knows how to keep trauma bottled up since she messed with Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) mind all those years ago.
Liz’s own trauma was buried, but the process obviously isn’t a sure thing since she remembers everything now.
Carolyn may point that out to Nikolas, even after he pressures her to help since Liz is involved.
Nikolas will make it clear that things may not go well for Elizabeth if Esme remembers what she’s forgotten.
Regardless of what Carolyn does next, Nikolas may want to put Esme to the test.
That could be why Nikolas will ultimately stop by to see Esme at Spring Ridge during the week of January 30-February 3.
It’s a risk for Nikolas to come face to face with Esme like this, but he can’t avoid it forever.
GH spoilers say Esme’s “baby daddy” will take a gamble by showing up and talking with her for a while.
You can bet Esme will have plenty of questions and hope Nikolas can provide some updates, so Nik could tip her off to trouble if he’s not careful.
Even just seeing Nikolas’ face could trigger a memory flood or at least a few flashes from the past.
Will Esme have a big reaction to Nikolas and start hurling accusations?
That’s an option to consider, but it’s also possible Esme will remain a blank slate or recall bits and pieces that she can’t quite put together just yet.
Whatever the case, Nikolas will need to watch his back around Heather Webber (Alley Mills) since she’d do anything for her daughter.
Heather could pose a deadly threat to Nikolas at some point, so that’s something to keep in mind!
