General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that amnesiac Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) is seeing a new side to Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez), so things could get ugly soon enough. Now that Esme has given birth to her baby boy, she’s already become quite protective of Ace Cassadine and their mother-son bond.
Spencer was quite smug as he cornered Esme in GH’s February 27 episode and warned that Esme wouldn’t be caring for her baby in prison.
There’s no doubt that Spencer and Laura Collins (Genie Francis) would take good care of Ace, but the thought of being separated from him still rocked Esme.
The news left Esme unsettled as Spencer’s updates really sank in.
There’s a good chance Esme is finally starting to pick up on Spencer’s animosity as well since his words were dripping with his disdain for her.
Spencer is even more furious with Esme now that he knows she targeted him from the start.
Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) sent Esme to the same school so that she could seduce Spencer and convince him to break up Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) marriage to Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss).
It’s clear that Spencer hates Esme and doesn’t intend to let her stand in the way of his custody push for the baby.
Although Esme will inevitably beat the charges and score her freedom, Spencer still has no intention of letting her raise Ace.
Based on spoilers for the week of March 6-10, it looks like Esme could face a memory flood.
We’ll see Esme’s perception shift in a big way, so that could mean her amnesia will suddenly become a thing of the past.
Of course, that could result in Esme going back to her scheming ways.
Esme might pretend she’s still in the dark while secretly plotting against Spencer, who’ll deserve payback as far as she’s concerned for trying to take his little brother.
Now that Trina and Spencer are moving forward as a couple, they’re inevitably going to face more obstacles.
Esme may end up creating some new hurdles by sabotaging Spencer and Trina’s romance in the near future.
Since Esme won’t just stand by and let Spencer take her child, she may fight him in a court battle AND with a sneakier plan against his budding relationship.
Esme could go after revenge and hope to make Spencer sorry he ever thought he could take Ace from her!
