General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Friday, January 20, tease that Violet Finn (Jophielle Love) will hold out hope that maybe Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) and Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) will get back together now that they’ve split. However, Finn and Liz may steer Violet away from that idea as they remind her that she’ll always be loved no matter what.
Meanwhile, Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) will decide he’s done taking orders from Mason (Nathanyael Grey) and the shady boss they keep talking about.
Austin will want to break free from his family’s criminal drama, so he’ll physically attack Mason to show he means business this time.
Other GH spoilers say Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) will face a death threat. Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) will warn that the next time Nikolas defies him, it’ll be Nik’s last!
Victor’s actions will rattle Nikolas as well on Friday’s episode, so it sounds like Victor will go to extremes to make his point.
Over with Dex Heller (Evan Hofer), he’ll inform Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) that he’ll no longer be working for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) soon.
Dex may insist that after his latest assignment concludes, he intends to quit Sonny’s organization.
Of course, it’s possible that Dex will finally come clean about secretly working for Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell). That would certainly explain a lot to Josslyn, but we’ll see if Dex is ready to drop that bomb yet.
Later, Cameron Webber (William Lipton) will face a difficult surprise. Now that Cam has been going on and on about how honest Josslyn’s been, he seems poised to witness a sizzling Dex and Joss moment.
It sounds like Josslyn will get busted as Cameron realizes Dex played a bigger role in their breakup than she let on. Cameron could easily confront Josslyn and demand to know whether she cheated on him.
At GH, Michael will rip into Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) once again.
Carly will understand why Michael’s angry, but she’ll remind him that she was trying to protect Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) by concealing the bio mom news.
Michael will wonder what it makes Carly if Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) is the enemy.
Carly’s secret-keeping could still cost Willow her life, so Michael will think his mom’s done as much damage as Nina in some ways.
At home, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) will keep up her efforts to change Marshall Ashford’s (Robert Gossett) mind.
Marshall doesn’t want to play a clarinet solo at the wedding out of fear that he might have a schizophrenic episode, but Portia doubts that he even got the right diagnosis.
Unfortunately, Marshall feels like it’s too late to investigate that. Perhaps it’d be too hard knowing he stayed away from his family unnecessarily – and maybe Marshall indeed did if his diagnosis was wrong.
Nevertheless, Portia will push Marshall to look into genetic screening and getting properly diagnosed.
If Marshall won’t do it for himself, Portia will hope he might do it for Curtis.
Marshall will finally shout at Portia and insist that’s enough, but Curtis should come back and wonder what’s got his father so riled.
That’ll give Marshall a chance to confide in Curtis and perhaps get the nudge he needs for more testing.
General Hospital spoilers say Marshall should cave in eventually, so stay tuned for updates on what his actual diagnosis might be.
