General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that the show’s cooking up something special as they celebrate six decades on the air. In honor of GH’s 60th anniversary, ABC is set to deliver an exciting primetime special on Thursday, January 4.
This special will air at 10:00 p.m. ET, so you can catch it after The Golden Bachelor’s The Golden Wedding. It sounds like ABC plans to deliver quite a night of entertainment!
As for what fans can expect in this fun primetime show, there’ll be plenty of cast members taking part in the celebration and offering interviews.
There’ll be appearances from Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos), Laura Wright (Carly Spencer), Kelly Monaco (Sam McCall), Finola Hughes (Anna Devane), Genie Francis (Laura Collins), Jane Elliot (Tracy Quartermaine) and many more.
Of course, there’ll be some great flashbacks to help viewers remember epic moments in GH history.
You can bet they’ll offer some romantic highlights along with some intense action sequences of the past.
Emma Samms (ex-Holly Sutton), Amber Tamblyn (ex-Emily Quartermaine) and Rick Springfield (ex-Noah Drake) will also be part of the festivities, so there’ll be some familiar faces from days gone by.
Look for ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith, who plays Brick on GH, to pop up along with Dancing with the Stars’ Val Chermkovskiy as well.
Since fans love bloopers almost as much as drama, there’ll be some outtakes included.
It’s always nice to see a different side of all the stars when they blunder behind the scenes and have a good laugh about it.
The show wouldn’t be celebrating this 60th anniversary if it weren’t for the fans who tune in and make it possible.
That’s why this primetime special will feature a wonderful fan tribute – just as a “thank you” to all the faithful viewers out there.
GH Executive Producer Frank Valentini is also serving as the executive producer for the anniversary special, which will be called General Hospital: 60 Years of Stars and Storytelling.
