General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) will once again be included in Pikeman preparations, so he should feel a little better about the situation. Dex got nervous when Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) left him out of a seemingly important meeting, but he’ll soon realize he’s still in the circle of trust.
In fact, Dex will have a chance to earn even more of Sonny’s trust through some deadly danger.
Sonny will bring Dex along for a warehouse security check ahead of the Pikeman shipment, but they’ll both think it’s just a routine thing and won’t see any threats coming.
However, Dex’s military background has trained him to react quickly when a threat indeed presents itself.
It turns out there’ll be a sniper in the building, so Dex will spot him in the nick of time and realize he’d better do something fast.
In that moment, Dex’s priority will be protecting Sonny. It’ll be pretty automatic since Dex is a former soldier and that’s just what he’s learned to do.
As a result, GH spoilers say Dex will shove Sonny out of the gunman’s path, so he’ll save him from the onslaught of bullets.
Sonny will have a chance to see Dex’s heroic side in action and will ultimately return the favor.
When Dex lands in danger next, Sonny will make a move to protect him, too.
It’ll be a scary ordeal for both men, but Sonny and Dex will know they have to stick together if they’re going to survive.
In other words, Dex will save Sonny’s life and then Sonny will save Dex’s life as well.
That’s the kind of experience that could really bond Dex to Sonny and make him rethink the takedown mission he’s helping Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) carry out.
Will Dex still be willing to do what Michael hired him to do?
Regardless, there should be concerns about the Pikeman deal once gunfire breaks out, so Sonny will have to mull over that news.
