General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that a big comeback is in the works. In an interview with Michael Fairman, Alley Mills (Heather Webber) confirmed that she’d be returning to the ABC soap – though she doesn’t have the details just yet.
“I don’t know if I’m allowed to say this, but I am coming back,” Mills said. “I’m not sure when or how.”
Mills also admitted she didn’t know what the story would be, but we have no doubt it’ll be something wild if the infamous Heather Webber is involved.
Heather is never boring and always finds new ways to shake up the canvas.
Now that the show’s made Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) her biological daughter, there are plenty of angles to work involving Heather’s family connection.
That’s especially true since Heather is so eager to get to know her new grandson. Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay) has been stuck in Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) chaos on The Haunted Star, but he’ll be reunited with Esme in the very near future.
Of course, that could leave Ace vulnerable to whatever Heather cooks up next.
Heather has a knack for escaping from pretty much any facility she’s locked up in, so Esme should definitely be worried.
We can’t forget that Heather wrote a mysterious letter and sent it to Esme, who was still at Spring Ridge at the time.
GH writers never revealed what was in that letter, so maybe it could tie in with Heather’s next story down the road.
When Alley Mills exited back in February, Heather made it clear that we hadn’t seen the last of her.
It’s not surprising that the show is already planning Heather’s comeback since she’s such an entertaining character.
Mills’ portrayal recently earned her a Daytime Emmy nomination in the guest performer category – and she seems like a frontrunner to win since her captivating scenes as Heather will be tough to beat!
