General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) is headed back to the ABC soap just in time for May sweeps. Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) is now more ruthless than ever, so the show’s gearing up for a shocking climax – one that Helena could play a big role in.
This is Victor’s exit storyline, so we have to think about how he might leave the show.
It’s possible Victor will be captured or find a way to escape, but he honestly seems too evil to live at this point.
When it comes to villains, there’s only so far you can take them before they simply must die.
Victor has certainly reached the level where anything less than death isn’t going to be satisfying – at least from a drama standpoint.
Since Helena has some appearances coming up, it’ll be interesting to see how the show uses her this time around.
Helena is dead, so that limits things unless the show wants to let her make a truly miraculous comeback.
There’s a chance Helena will be seen in the rest of the video from Luke Spencer’s (Anthony Geary) memorial service.
GH fans deserve to hear what was on the rest of that tape, especially if it ties in with some other Luke-related mayhem that’s coming up.
However, we should also consider the possibility that Helena will be seen in a vision or in ghostly form.
That’s especially true since Victor could be slowly marching toward his own grim fate.
Plenty of people want Victor dead, especially Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) after the way his father shot Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) in cold blood.
Valentin can’t rest until Victor is six feet under, so Victor may indeed end up gone for good.
Presumed deaths are useful since they allow characters to come back for future stints, but the show might take a more final approach with Victor’s exit.
They weren’t afraid to kill Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) off for real, so Victor may be next in line for a dead-dead exit.
If that’s the case, it’s easy to imagine Helena appearing to Victor and taunting him while he’s dying.
Helena could easily express what a disappointment Victor was to the Cassadine name and could escort him somewhere fiery as he enters the afterlife!
It seems like Helena’s return could be about her getting the last laugh – perhaps in more ways than one if the end of her video clip gets played and she drags Victor off to suffer for all eternity.
