General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that the writers have a golden opportunity if they’re willing to take advantage of it. GH fans know Carly has been sitting on the secret of who Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) biological mother is for quite some time, but the truth is on the verge of coming out.
During the week of January 9-13, this bone marrow donor match situation will set the stage for the big reveal.
Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will also find out through the medical file in Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) box that Willow is receiving delayed treatment for leukemia.
Nina will hold Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) responsible for the chemo postponement – just to add to the drama before she’s revealed as Willow’s bio mom and presumably her bone marrow donor.
The goal seems to be for Nina to emerge as the one who comes to Willow’s rescue in the end.
Michael won’t be willing to forgive and forget when it comes to Nina, but he’ll inevitably be relieved that there’s a match – even if it has to be Nina.
As for Carly’s decision to hide the truth and sabotage Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) investigation, that surely won’t go over well.
Michael has always been a bit of a mama’s boy and rarely goes against Carly, so it’d be nice to see him unleash his wrath on her now.
GH spoilers say Michael will indeed unleash his wrath on someone as the week of January 16-20 winds down, so Carly may finally pay the price for her deception and trickery.
Of course, Carly didn’t know about Willow’s leukemia battle or else that would’ve affected her plans.
If Carly thought Nina could save Willow’s life, we like to think she would’ve put her issues aside and confessed.
Even so, Carly hid the truth about a huge part of Willow’s world. Willow has been lied to by people from day one and controlled by cult leaders who wanted to pull the strings on everything.
Michael needs to stand up for Willow as a grown woman who deserved to decide for herself what to do about Nina.
Carly shouldn’t have withheld info from Willow for any reason, so Michael may blow up at Carly and point out that she could’ve cost Willow her life.
Again, Carly didn’t know about the cancer fight and bone marrow donor search, but she needs to understand that sometimes actions have unanticipated consequences.
That doesn’t mean Michael will stay angry with Carly since he’ll understand her motives on some level, but his initial reaction may be one of fury.
Carly took away Willow’s choices and tried to control the narrative just like Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel), Shiloh Archer (Cody McLaughlin) and so many other shady characters in Willow’s past.
Bottom line, this is Michael’s chance to get mad at Carly and put her on full blast!
Once Michael gets updates on Carly’s lies and dirty tricks, he’ll hopefully lash out and make it clear that what she did was wrong.
