General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) just set a significant wedding date. That’s because Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) Pikeman shipment is happening at the same time – and we all know that can’t be a coincidence!
On the February 13 episode, Willow decided she didn’t want some bland wedding at GH, so Michael agreed to take her home and do it up right.
Now Michael and Willow are planning to recreate their first nuptials with a new ceremony at the Quartermaine mansion.
Willow is running out of time, so it’s rather bizarre that she suggested having the wedding two weeks from now.
The whole thing screams plot point since Sonny is planning something that’s happening on the very same date.
Sonny talked to Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) on the February 13 episode about the Pikeman shipment happening two weeks from that night.
Dex gave Michael updates since he expects this could be when they’ll get the proof they need to sink Sonny.
Of course, Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) will likely emerge as Willow’s last-minute hero soon.
Obrecht should be the bone marrow donor that Willow needs to survive, so that could leave Willow celebrating a successful transplant along with her impending marriage.
However, Michael and Willow will remain eager to tie the knot, so their wedding date should stick.
If anything, Willow and Michael will be more excited than ever to wed and put this painful chapter behind them.
Unfortunately, Willow still doesn’t know Michael’s keeping a massive secret from her.
Although Willow has been hoping Michael and Sonny might make amends, her fiancé is plotting his father’s arrest instead.
That could create some drama if it comes out before the wedding – or the drama could come afterward and create a curveball that derails the honeymoon. Regardless, there’s going to be trouble!
Thanks to Michael’s plan and Dex’s willingness to betray the mob boss, Sonny could find himself in handcuffs the same night Michael gets married.
It might be interesting if Michael suffers a crisis of conscience and tries to stop what he’s set in motion, but it’ll probably be too late if that’s the case.
Dex may even go rogue to make sure this scheme is successful in the end.
