General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) will cling to the new hope he’s been given. Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) called to inform Michael that Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) had a confirmed bone marrow match, but some final testing will be needed first.
Of course, Willow and Michael will have to wrap their heads around the news that Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) is now in a position to save Willow’s life.
That’ll be a game-changer that leaves Michael suspecting Liesl’s motives are about more than just coming to Willow’s rescue.
However, Michael is desperate at this point and won’t really care if Obrecht has demands.
Since Michael would give anything to keep Willow living and breathing, Liesl could ask for whatever she wanted and her wish would be granted.
Naturally, Obrecht won’t turn this into a situation where she’s going to withhold the bone marrow donation if she doesn’t get her way.
That obviously wouldn’t be something Nina approved of – and Liesl genuinely does want to help Willow survive.
That said, GH spoilers say Obrecht will make it clear that she’d be extremely grateful if her life-saving gift resulted in a relationship for Willow and Nina.
Michael will get the picture after a pre-transplant conversation with Liesl, so he’ll essentially strike a verbal deal with her.
In the end, Michael will act like Nina and Willow’s bond can happen.
All that’ll matter is making sure this bone marrow transplant moves forward, so Michael will be more than willing to butter up the donor and say all the right things!
It’ll be interesting to see how Michael feels once the transplant is inevitably successful and it comes time to pay the piper.
The same goes for Willow, who’ll owe Liesl her life and will know how much it’d matter to her if she connected with Nina.
Nevertheless, there’ll be time to worry about all that later.
Right now, everyone will await Terry Randolph’s (Cassandra James) updates on whether Liesl passes her final donor suitability tests and can be the hero she needs to be.
