General Hospital Spoilers: Monday, February 20 Recap – Heather’s Freedom Offer – Alexis’ Hook Discovery – Trina Kisses Spencer

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, February 20, reveals that Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) explained to Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) how she couldn’t bear to damage Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) bond with Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews).

Curtis fumed since he had grown to love Trina as well, but Portia had stood by and said nothing.

When Curtis questioned if Portia was ever going to tell him the truth if Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) hadn’t found out, Portia admitted probably not.

Curtis also found out that Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) knew he was possibly Trina’s bio dad and likely told Stella.

After Curtis fumed over that news, he left to get some air and couldn’t answer whether he’d be back.

At the gallery, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) refused to leave Trina’s side now that they knew Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) had escaped from Spring Ridge.

That gave Spencer a chance to ask Trina what went down tonight, so she said Portia had lied her entire life and that Taggert might not be her biological father.

Spencer was so sorry for what Trina was going through, but he knew Portia would never abandon her like Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss).

Trina acknowledged that Spencer was right about her mother being there for her – and Spencer pointed out that he’d be there, too.

After Spencer reflected on when he first met Trina and doused her fake blood by mistake, he admitted he wouldn’t change it for the world.

Trina acknowledged her new identity crisis, but Spencer knew exactly who she was and rattled off a list of compliments.

Once Trina and Spencer leaned in for a kiss on Monday’s GH episode, they smiled at each other before making out again.

At Wyndemere, Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) reiterated that either Ava Jerome (Maura West) or Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) was coming with him while the other wouldn’t leave that room.

Felicia felt confident Mac Scorpio (John J. York) would ride to the rescue, but Ryan doubted it.

However, Ava hinted about someone else being on the island and left Ryan concerned.

On the pier, Jordan warned Mac that they couldn’t go in with guns blazing or else the hostages would be in more danger.

Nearby, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) told Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) that Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) was Ryan’s daughter before the harbor patrol arrived for backup.

Mac worried an open assault might be the only strategy here, but Laura suggested using the tunnel from Wyndemere to the mainland.

Once Mac got Laura a map, she marked off what she thought would be the best route.

Afterward, Laura admitted she couldn’t shake the feeling there was some other danger they hadn’t anticipated.

With both Ryan and Heather Webber (Alley Mills) on that island, Kevin thought it was a safe bet.

Back at Wyndemere, Heather apologized to Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) for stabbing him and suggested he was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Esme screamed before Austin stumbled into the living room with Heather and Esme not far behind. After Esme fainted, she fell to the floor.

Since she didn’t think Ryan was really going to shoot her, Ava also took a moment to care for Austin as she tried to stop the bleeding.

Ryan checked on Esme and mentioned something about Heather’s dexterity with a hook. That led to Ava and Felicia realizing Heather had been behind the attacks.

Heather complained about Ryan trapping them in the one place the cops would come. Moments later, Esme woke up and looked ready to bolt.

After Ryan insisted Esme and the baby belonged to him, Felicia whacked him from behind – giving Esme the chance to run out the side door.

Ryan said he’d go after Esme and gave Heather his gun. Although Ryan didn’t want anything to happen to Ava, he suggested Heather could do whatever she wanted with Felicia.

Once Ryan raced after Esme, Heather pretended she was going to kill both Felicia and Ava before admitting she was joking.

After Heather urged Ava and Felicia to leave through the underground passageway, she hinted that Ava might want to stick around and hear what she had to say.

Once Ava heard how Ryan was responsible for trying to destroy her life, Heather felt confident that Ava would want to handle Ryan herself.

That hint left Ava looking both angry and intrigued.

At The Invader, Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) arrived to find Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) ready to celebrate with sparkling apple cider.

Unfortunately, Gregory revealed the PCU wouldn’t allow him to join the editorial board since they viewed it as a potential conflict of interest.

After Grant Smoltz (David Lautman) sent Alexis a hot scoop, she said he was about to get his first byline on the front page.

Alexis told Gregory that Esme, Heather and Ryan were the three inmates who had escaped from Spring Ridge.

Gregory and Alexis mulled over the facts of the case, including the use of “me and mine” making “The Hook’s” letter seem personal.

Alexis mulled over her copy of the letter once she was alone and made a call to the warden of Spring Ridge.

Back on the pier, Mac put on his bulletproof vest and vowed to stop at nothing to protect Felicia.

Jordan took off for Wyndemere with Mac just before Alexis arrived looking for the commissioner.

Alexis got updates on the hostage situation and asked if this had to do with the escapees.

Once Alexis mentioned all the victims were linked to Trina and a list of victims that would avenge Esme, she revealed that she knew who “The Hook” was.

Back on Spoon Island, Ryan caught up with a terrified Esme in the woods.

Esme admitted her water broke and that the baby was coming, so Ryan pushed her to let him help.

General Hospital spoilers say Esme’s traumatic ordeal will continue, so stay tuned to ABC’s GH!
