General Hospital Spoilers: Monday, February 6 Recap – Ava Kills Nik To Protect Avery – Liz Delays PCPD Confession

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, February 6, reveals that TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) spotted Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) at GH ahead of the rehearsal dinner. Trina acted cagey about why she was there, so TJ assured her that she could open up him.

After Trina admitted she wanted to see Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) and check on him after his latest family drama, TJ said he thought Spencer was a good guy.

At the same time, TJ also understood that Trina’s loved ones were just looking out for her with all their concerns.

Trina felt it was best if no one found out about her latest Spencer search, so she hoped TJ would keep that between them.

After Trina thanked TJ for listening, he suggested that’s what family was for since they’d indeed be family soon.

Elsewhere at GH, Spencer refused to tell Laura Collins (Genie Francis) what he was holding over Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss), but she assumed it was illegal and could compromise her role as the mayor.

After Spencer insisted everyone would’ve been better off if Nik had stayed dead, Laura acted like he didn’t mean that.

Spencer clarified that he didn’t actively wish his father dead in the present, but he still didn’t want Nikolas in his life anymore.

Although Laura worried Spencer didn’t know how to raise a child, Spencer was convinced he could figure it out and be the father this baby needed.

At Wyndemere, Nikolas barged in and launched a confrontation with Ava Jerome (Maura West) for giving Spencer the upper hand in the custody battle.

After Nikolas came clean about never having an affair with Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst), he explained that she provided medical care to captive Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) in the north tower.

Although Nikolas had previously hoped to reconcile with Ava one day, he no longer had hope for their future.

Ava was shocked to learn the whole story – and even more shocked when Nikolas insisted on an eye for an eye.

Since Nikolas was losing his baby, he vowed to take Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) away from Ava using Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) many resources.

Nikolas guaranteed that Ava would feel the same emptiness once Avery was gone.

After Nikolas smugly suggested he’d tell Avery that her mom said goodbye, Ava panicked and refused to let him take her daughter.

As Nikolas turned to leave, Ava grabbed a nearby statuette and bashed him in the head with it.

Nikolas fell to the floor after what’ll turn out to be a deadly blow.

Outside Kelly’s, Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) grabbed Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey) to insist that Ava was off-limits.

Mason taunted Austin about his romantic involvement with Ava, but Austin insisted they were just friends.

When Mason wanted to pay Ava a little visit, Austin warned him to “stay the hell away” from her.

Mason acted like Austin had become boring and predictable, so he told his cousin “nighty night” and walked away – leaving Austin concerned about Mason’s next move.

At The Savoy, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) confronted Linc Brown (Dan Brown) about what was going on since he spotted Linc with his hand on Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Amanda Setton) knee.

Brook Lynn insisted everything was fine and signed the agreement, which meant she’d get her songs back if she preserved Linc’s reputation.

After Brook Lynn lied about giving Linc some final commercial jingles as part of the deal, she acted like Chase was off the hook and could go back to being a cop when the time came.

However, Chase didn’t want out just yet since he couldn’t let Linc target women like Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez).

Brook Lynn was nervous as Chase privately insisted on taking Linc down.

After Chase suggested doing another song with Blaze or maybe even an album, Linc proposed a toast to their continued success and exchanged a tense look with Brook Lynn.

Back at the hospital, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) tried to talk Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) out of confessing to the cops.

Finn urged Liz to think about what it would do her boys, especially Cameron Webber (William Lipton) since he might feel obligated to drop out of school and get another job to care for his younger brothers.

Elizabeth still thought it was better for the truth about her involvement in Nikolas’ scheme to come out, but Finn convinced her to at least wait until morning.

General Hospital spoilers say Liz will face more bombshells soon, so stay tuned to the ABC soap.
