General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Monday, May 1, tease that there’ll be some nerve-wracking moments now that Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) satellite phone is ringing on the ground in Greenland.
A couple of Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) henchmen are nearby and will no doubt investigate the area, which could lead to exposure if Valentin and the others aren’t careful.
Of course, it’s possible Valentin could step out of hiding and take one for the team.
It’d be smart for Valentin to distract the guards while Laura Collins (Genie Francis), Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) remain free to continue the rescue mission.
Laura will hint about giving Victor exactly what he’s looking for, so maybe the plan will be for Valentin to negotiate with his loyalty.
Whatever the case, Victor will battle suspicions as Valentin prepares to make a tempting offer.
In the meantime, Victor will keep pushing Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) to speed up her work.
GH fans know Victor needs Liesl’s help to ensure that the antidote is still effective, but she’ll clash with him about the next steps.
As for Holly Sutton (Emma Samms), she’ll do something extreme as she plots to stop Victor’s destruction, so this could involve her imminent plans to join the mission in Greenland.
Next, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) will deal with some drama when Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) confronts her about what he just overheard.
Scott now knows Victor has a biological weapon that Anna, Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) and their other team members are keeping under wraps.
Anna will push Scott to keep his own mouth shut as well and will point out that people’s lives are at stake.
If the WSB gets updates on all this too soon, they could wipe out the island to contain the threat and kill all the hostages in the process.
Over with Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen), she’ll urge Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) to see that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is making a big effort.
Sonny just sent the SEC on a wild goose chase to Maui, which will give Drew some time to find Liesl and bring Willow’s bone marrow donor home.
Willow will think that has to count for something and will pressure Michael to find a peaceful path forward with Sonny.
However, Sonny will be busy at the Pikeman meeting, where he’ll insist he’s taking all the risk.
Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) will seem a bit nervous – and rightly so since he planted a hidden camera that’ll be recording incriminating evidence the whole time.
It turns out Dex will indeed score proof against Sonny and hand it over to Michael soon enough, so that’ll lead to Willow getting some shocking news.
Until then, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will request an ASAP meeting with Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight), who’ll wonder what was so important that she wanted to see him the moment he landed.
Nina will have questions about the SEC tip that Martin was supposed to call in, but it’d be a great twist if Martin hasn’t actually done it yet.
After all, the SEC sent people to handle this awfully fast! Maybe someone else – like Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) – actually offered a tip quite some time ago.
Then again, it’s possible Martin did what Nina asked and that tip simply backed up somebody else’s previous one.
That could certainly help build the case against Drew and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright).
Regardless, Nina will have concerns once she realizes the SEC’s Drew hunt could hinder his efforts to find Liesl – and that could put Willow’s health in even more jeopardy.
