General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) just keeps getting worse and worse when it comes to his behavior lately. Nikolas has been making nonstop mistakes for months and has basically become Port Charles’ resident creepy loser.
Since Marcus Coloma was fired, Nikolas’ exit arc seems to be underway.
It feels like the character has been totally trashed, but could the writers offer a little redemption in the end?
“The Hook” story isn’t over yet, so Heather Webber (Alley Mills) could eventually go after another victim.
It’s possible Heather could target Nikolas since he’s Esme Prince’s (Avery Pohl) controlling “baby daddy,” but Ava could also find herself in “The Hook’s” path once again.
Heather certainly doesn’t seem pleased whenever Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) gushes about Ava and his desire to have her be part of his family’s future.
Perhaps Heather will want to eliminate Ava entirely – just to make sure Ryan can never let anyone take her place.
Regardless, Ava could be targeted, especially since she’s been thinking back on that first hook attack lately.
The show could be building to Ava facing “The Hook” once more, but what if Nikolas saves the day?
If anyone needs a dose of redemption right about now, it’s Nikolas!
The writing for this character makes him seem arrogant, sleazy, selfish and downright disgusting.
Ava certainly hates Nikolas’ guts at this point, but she might hate him a little less if he takes a hook for her.
Nikolas might step in “The Hook’s” path and prevent Ava from facing the murder weapon.
That could lead to Nikolas fighting for his life at GH, where the anti-venom is in short supply. Depending on how many victims are left in the hook saga, that news could lead to trouble.
Nikolas could be killed off or even use this situation to fake his death considering how Cassadines tend to operate.
Then again, Nikolas might land in a long-term coma – though it seems cruel to make another one of Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis) children face that.
It’s also possible Nikolas could recover and land in prison, but the point is taking a hook for Ava would redeem him a bit on his way out.
