General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that some major couple shakeups could be on the way. GH fans know Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) feels Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) is his future, but he also realizes she’s seeing new sides of him now that mob drama’s erupting.
Sonny isn’t sure Nina will come back to him when this is all over, especially since there will inevitably be more situations like this.
Nina fell in love with “Mike” in Nixon Falls, but the real Sonny is a bit harder to love due to all the danger surrounding him.
However, Nina already hinted that perhaps Carly was better suited for that world.
Carly understands how the mob world operates and even stepped up for Sonny when he was presumed dead.
The show could be planting some seeds for a Carly and Sonny reunion based on everything that’s been playing out.
Likewise, Carly’s fears about losing Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) could come true – just not in the way she expects.
Drew is about to head straight into danger with this Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) scheme, so Carly made him promise to come back to her.
After losing Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), the last thing Carly wants is to lose Drew so tragically as well.
Although Drew should survive whatever’s in store, that doesn’t guarantee Drew and Carly’s future.
Anything could go wrong, especially since Drew’s programming could still be a problem if it’s reactivated.
There are reasons that Drew might pull back from Carly, especially if he sees the potential for her to reunite with Sonny and heal their broken family.
If Carly and Sonny indeed end up reuniting, what will that mean for Drew and Nina?
Since Nina and Drew would both be single in that case, GH writers might try pairing them up next.
Drew was surprisingly kind to Nina recently when he reminded her to take care of herself during all this Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) illness drama.
Despite their issues, it seems like Nina and Drew can still see some goodness in each other.
There’s the potential for a romantic partner swap if Carly ultimately gets back together with Sonny while Nina finds herself falling for Drew.
