General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, August 28, reveals that Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) caught up with Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) on the GH rooftop and confirmed she knew about Gregory Chase’s (Gregory Harrison) ALS diagnosis.
Although Finn dreaded what was to come for Gregory, Liz urged him to focus on making more memories now. Finn felt guilty for all the years he shut Gregory out, so Elizabeth suggested he should open up to his father about that.
After Finn expressed gratitude for Liz’s support, she vowed to be there for him during the difficult road ahead.
In Portia Robinson’s (Brook Kerr)) office, she told Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) that Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) was being released from his rehab facility, but he hadn’t reached out to any of them to reveal that he was moving back home.
That left Portia worried, but Marshall felt that Curtis was pushing her away out of love and that he’d eventually come around.
At Curtis’ facility, Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) was unsure about him working out without his physical therapist present.
Stella also felt that Curtis needed to let out his bottled feelings, so he admitted everything had been snatched away just when things were looking up. So much of Curtis’ life revolved around being active, so he was upset over all that being wiped out.
In Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) office, Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) mentioned that she walked away when she saw her mom with Molly Lansing-Davis (Brook Anne Smith) and the woman she assumed was Molly’s surrogate.
Alexis confirmed Andrea Gates (Lily Anne Harrison) was indeed the woman Molly had selected and felt like she was a good fit for the surrogacy.
Once Kristina and Alexis agreed they wouldn’t let Molly issues affect their own relationship, Alexis advised Kristina to give her sister time to deal with everything.
Afterward, Gregory apologized to Alexis for putting her in an awkward position since he asked her to hide his ALS from Finn. Alexis reassured Gregory before learning that he hadn’t told Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) the truth yet.
Gregory was worried about how hard Chase would take the news, but Alexis seemed more hopeful about the situation.
Next, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) sat down with Robert Scorpio (Carolyn Hennesy) at the Metro Court pool, where she said she needed to know if Pikeman still had Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) on their payroll.
Anna wanted Robert to do her a favor no questions asked and use his connections to investigate for her.
Once Robert reflected on Valentin lying about going to ELQ on the night of the fire, he asked if Anna thought Valentin could’ve burned her house down. Anna steered Robert away from that idea and just wanted to find out the truth.
After Valentin showed up, Robert took off in a huff. Valentin acted like everything was perfectly normal, but Anna seemed a little tense as she excused herself to visit the restroom.
Nearby, Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) surprised Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) by throwing a drink in his face and confronting him about the alimony he’d been receiving. Martin eventually admitted it, so Lucy whined about the money mattering more than marrying her.
When Martin asked how Lucy discovered the alimony payments, she revealed the story of her investigation in Pine Valley.
Lucy wanted Martin to prove his love by giving up the money, but he questioned if that was really what she wanted. Since Deception could go down in flames due to the lawsuit, Lucy confessed she wasn’t sure.
When Martin bailed on his conversation with Lucy for one with Valentin, she was offended. However, it was clearly an urgent matter when Martin approached Valentin and hinted about some bad news.
Valentin warned Martin to get it done since it was holding up the next step of whatever he was working on. Although Anna noticed how strained the discussion seemed when she returned, Valentin downplayed it.
Outside Kelly’s, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) assured Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) that it wasn’t up to her to fix Curtis and Portia’s problems. Joss didn’t want Trina putting so much pressure on herself.
Inside the restaurant, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) pushed Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) to take Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) and get him out of prison since the judge had been unfair.
Diane decided maybe she could look into the judge’s potential history of bias and use some past cases to back up the idea. Carly thought maybe Robert could pull some strings to get another judge assigned to Drew’s case.
When Robert appeared, he gloated about his new car and wanted to take Diane for a spin. Diane said maybe she could fit Robert in her schedule and toyed with him a bit.
Back at the rehab facility, Stella gave Curtis a pep talk about accepting the challenge of his new reality, so he ultimately called Portia to reveal his desire to return home.
Trina was there when Portia got the wonderful updates, so she seemed delighted as Curtis said they’d tackle this together.
General Hospital spoilers say Curtis indeed has a tough path ahead of him, but let’s hope Portia and his other loved ones can be the support system he needs.
