General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, July 13, reveals that Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) balked at Harrison Chase’s (Josh Swickard) shoplifting accusations and argued that Deception had an arrangement with the store. Chase convinced Sasha to come down to the police station with him to sort this out.
Although Chase urged Sasha to use her one phone call for a lawyer, she said those were for guilty people and used it to call Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) instead. Cody was busy getting threatened by Selina Wu (Lydia Look) and her henchman, so he couldn’t answer the phone.
It looked like Cody was about to take a beating or worse for lying to Selina and thinking he could get away with it, so he blurted out an offer to save himself.
Cody insisted the WSB was going to pay for losing a family heirloom, so Selina could have a cut of the $10 million he’d get out of it.
Although Cody suggested splitting the money 50-50, Selina insisted on 60-40 and warned that Cody would still be on the hook for the money he cost her at the poker game he threw.
Cody was free to go, but Selina made it clear that her henchman could always find him.
Once Cody checked his voicemail, he grew concerned about Sasha. Cody phoned Sasha to say he was so sorry he missed her call and urged her to call him back when she got his message.
At the boutique, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) bumped into Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) while she was helping Scout Cain (Cosette Abinante) shop for a dress.
Gladys was rather rude to Scout and dodged Sam’s questions about her connection to Selina, but Sam felt certain that Selina must have dirt on her. Once Gladys got a phone call about Sasha’s emergency, she took off.
Later, Sam realized Scout was disappointed that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) wouldn’t be picking her up from swim camp and asking all his usual questions about it. Sam suggested they could write everything down and give Drew updates when she visited him.
At Kelly’s, Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) still felt she’d be the ideal surrogate for Molly Lansing-Davis (currently played by Holiday Mia Kriegel), but Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) tried to pump the brakes again.
Alexis pointed out that Kristina knew nothing about being pregnant or about what being a surrogate entailed, so Kristina tried to quiz Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) about surrogacy when she showed up.
Maxie needed some time to process what Kristina was asking, so Alexis privately scolded her daughter for being insensitive. Alexis also sent Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) a text since she felt she needed some backup on this Kristina situation.
At the PCPD, Gladys joined Sasha as she watched the security footage from the store. It clearly showed Sasha stuffing some blouses in her bag, so she was horrified since she didn’t remember doing it.
Thankfully, Maxie was able to work out a cross-promotional deal with Logan’s store. They dropped the charges, but they preferred to work with just Maxie and Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) on the upcoming event.
Sasha understood why and seemed upset over this setback. When Chase urged Maxie to keep an eye on Sasha, she told him she was planning on doing that anyway.
Back with Sam, she took photos of Cody and Selina together in the distance. A man’s hand eventually landed on Sam’s shoulder and startled her.
At the Quartermaine gatehouse, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) distracted Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) from her Sasha worries with a faux trip to Paris.
Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Viron Weaver) dressed up as a French mime and played the accordion in front of a small Eiffel Tower replica outside. Michael also wore a beret and treated Willow to some French dishes, so she was delighted.
At GH, Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) comforted Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) while Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) opened up to Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).
Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) surgery was taking too long, so Portia was concerned – especially since there could be significant damage to Curtis’ spine if he pulled through.
Molly showed up to show her support and was glad when Kristina arrived as well.
As for Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett), he was surprised to see Sonny at the hospital. Sonny assured Marshall that he would get to the bottom of who fired at Curtis and was behind this threat.
Once Sonny got Alexis’ text about Kristina, he met with her and learned their daughter could use his guidance. Sonny got the feeling this was about more than Kristina’s foundation, so Alexis admitted that was true.
TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) was in the OR when Curtis flatlined, so he kept pushing his uncle to fight as the medical team did CPR and ultimately shocked Curtis’ heart.
Meanwhile, Curtis awoke on a familiar picnic blanket since it was the same one he burned a hole in as a child. When Curtis’ realized his mother was there, he became emotional and wondered if this was real.
Irene Ashford (Cheryl Francis Harrington) pushed Curtis to go help Tommy Ashford in the parking lot since he was working on her car.
However, Curtis could hear TJ’s voice coaxing him back, so he eventually remembered Trina, Portia and the others needed him.
If Curtis went off to find his brother, he knew he wouldn’t be able to return to his family in Port Charles.
Curtis cried over having to say goodbye to his mom, but Irene insisted they should just say until they meet again.
When TJ appeared in the waiting area, Portia and the others were eager to find out if Curtis had survived his surgery.
