General Hospital Recap: Thursday, March 9 – Holly’s Drug Affects Victor in Bed – Maxie’s Nurses Ball Decision

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, March 9, reveals that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) chatted with Jamie the bartender since she knew he was in business school. Nina wondered under what circumstances someone would be investigated by the SEC, but Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) appeared and questioned why she’d ask that.

Nina covered before Sonny revealed that Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) threatened to take Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) away from Ava Jerome (Maura West).

Although Ava said it was an empty threat, Sonny felt there was no such thing when it came to his child.

When Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) arrived, he tried to pay Nina back for the honeymoon suite that she gave him for free.

Sonny said it was a gift for Curtis and his wife, but Curtis admitted Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) might not be his wife for much longer.

Once Curtis spoke with Nina privately, he filled her in on Portia’s lies and the possibility that Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) was his daughter.

Nina understood Portia’s situation somewhat and compared it to when she withheld information in Nixon Falls.

When it came to Trina and the DNA test, Nina urged Curtis not to push since that was something she was learning through Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen).

At the gallery, Trina admitted to Ava that Curtis and Portia’s trip to Italy was canceled.

Once Trina offered updates on everything, Ava offered sympathy over the messy family drama this had created for Trina.

Although Ava couldn’t offer a solution, she talked about the shades of grey and knew from personal experience what a mother was capable of when she was afraid of losing her child.

Ava suggested there was no harm in taking a DNA test since it didn’t have to change anything.

After Ava pointed out that DNA didn’t forge their own connection, she vowed to be there for Trina no matter what.

Ava acknowledged that Trina only had one mother, but Trina said Ava had never been dishonest with her like her mom had.

After Selina Wu (Lydia Look) got the brushoff from Curtis about the wedding gift she sent, she met with Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs).

Gladys gave Selina the deed to Brando Corbin’s (Johnny Wactor) garage and got assurance that this made them square.

Selina said Gladys’ debt was covered and that any remaining funds could be deposited or used as a stake in the next poker game.

However, Gladys said she was done with all that and told Selina that a deposit would suit her just fine.

In the Quartermaine stables, Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) looked for an invoice and dropped a bunch of papers in the process.

Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) arrived with a box of biscotti since Cody covered for her at the police station.

Cody admitted he sent Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) to help as well, but Sasha wasn’t mad since he tried to save her from herself.

Sasha acknowledged that a burden was lifted through her confrontation with Heather Webber (Alley Mills).

Cody also got advice about extending grace to himself since he was struggling to forgive some things.

Since Sasha used to ride horses, Cody convinced her to come ride on the Quartermaine grounds sometimes.

Once Cody mentioned something about Sasha not owning the garage anymore, she was puzzled.

Cody flashed back to listening in on Gladys and Selina’s conversation, but he guessed he misunderstood what he heard.

That left Sasha wondering who Cody heard it from.

At the safe house, Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) was going stir crazy, so Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) were frustrated.

If they didn’t get out of there soon, Valentin said he just might kill Lucy himself!

In a suite at the Metro Court, Deputy Mayor Eileen Ashby (Heather Mazur) awoke and said that was the best sleep she’d had in weeks.

Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) grumbled about last night, so it became clear that he wasn’t able to perform in bed.

Eileen acted like it was no big deal since they were both tired and had been drinking.

After Eileen insisted she wanted to help Victor with his plans, he seemed skeptical since she recently thought she was being haunted.

Eileen blamed that on sleeping pills and hinted about something she could do for Victor.

After Eileen said she requested the unredacted file on the Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) incident at the cabin, she thought it might contain useful info on the necklace.

Victor seemed intrigued, so he urged Eileen to pull strings and do it now.

Afterward, Eileen was surprised when Laura Collins (Genie Francis) showed up instead of Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) for a private meeting.

Eileen talked about Victor’s performance issues in bed, but she had another way to reel him in and mentioned his reaction to the redacted file.

The wheels started turning for Laura, who suggested maybe they should give Victor exactly what he wanted.

At Charlie’s Pub, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) caught up with Felicia and Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman), so they talked about the 60th anniversary of the hospital that was coming up.

Since nothing was being done to celebrate, Maxie decided they should have the biggest and best Nurses Ball that GH had ever seen.

It took some convincing, but Bobbie agreed to be Maxie’s co-chair.

After Felicia showed up at the safe house, she revealed that the Nurses Ball was happening. Lucy was shocked and insisted there could be no Nurses Ball without her!

Felicia insisted Maxie felt the show must go on and said she was trying to honor Lucy with the event.

Lucy didn’t think Maxie could pull it off in just a few weeks, but Felicia said Maxie had plenty of help.

When Felicia mentioned that Bobbie was going to be Maxie’s co-chair, Lucy flipped out and refused to let Bobbie take what was hers again.

Back at the Metro Court, Selina quizzed Sonny about a rerouted shipment and wondered if he was worried she’d join the Pikeman deal.

Sonny put Selina in her place before grilling Gladys about what she was discussing with Ms. Wu.

Gladys claimed she held out for a better off and insisted Selina was now the proud owner of Brando’s garage.

Sonny was OK with that as long as Sasha was on board, but he quickly grew suspicious based on Gladys’ uneasy reaction.

At the bar, Selina urged the bartender to put whatever Victor ordered on her tab since it looked like he needed a pick-me-up.

Victor snapped at Selina before apologizing since he hadn’t been feeling himself lately, so she flashed back to when she drugged his drink months ago.

After their interaction, Selina realized something had greatly disconcerted Victor, so she called Holly with news.

Selina suggested perhaps this had something to do with the substance that Holly paid her to slip Victor before she left town.

General Hospital spoilers say Selina’s handiwork has paid off, so stay tuned to see how else she might shake things up.
