General Hospital Spoilers Recap: Tuesday, December 5 – Terminating Sonny Is Brennan’s Last Resort, WSB Director’s Leverage Plans

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Tuesday, December 5, reveals that Blaze aka Alison Rogers Ramirez (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) hoped she hadn’t overstepped by kissing Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi), but Kristina pointed out that she kissed back.

Although Kristina was clearly into the kiss, she expressed surprise since she had no idea Blaze might be into women. Blaze confessed that she couldn’t be open about her sexuality because of her very Catholic, old-school family.

Kristina assured Blaze that everyone was on their own journey, so it was up to Blaze to decide if or when she wanted to come out.

However, Kristina reflected on her own experience with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) accepting her despite his own Catholic, old-school beliefs.

Blaze wasn’t there yet with her family and wasn’t sure she ever would be, but Kristina offered reassurance about supporting her regardless. That led to another kiss before Blaze and Kristina parted ways for the evening.

Meanwhile, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) also gave Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) some reassurance since she was nervous about moving out with Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay).

Laura hoped Esme would visit often with her grandson and pointed out that if things didn’t work out with the new place, her home would always be a soft place to land.

At the Port Charles Grill, Ava Jerome (Maura West) showed up and asked Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) why he killed Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth), but Cyrus denied it and acted like Ava had far more reasons to do away with him.

Cyrus also had an alibi since he’d been working late every night since he got that job. After Cyrus asked if Ava could say the same, she stormed out.

Laura entered and mentioned that she’d caught a glimpse of Ava, so she hoped everything was OK. Cyrus acted like Ava was a troubled soul and mentioned her guilty conscience before asking why Laura stopped by so late.

Although Laura wanted to check on Cyrus and hinted about finding common ground, Cyrus launched a tirade and suggested it was a little late for that!

Cyrus ranted about wanting to find common ground with Laura from the get-go and mentioned how his own mother wouldn’t take his money unless it was funneled through Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight).

Cyrus also brought up how he protected Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) in Pentonville because that’s what family does.

Although Cyrus felt he’d been treated like dirt, he felt he knew what was in his heart and that God did, too.

Once Cyrus calmed down, Laura thanked him for keeping Spencer safe and asked if maybe they could “wait and see” on the rest. Cyrus smiled a bit and said he’d consider that a downpayment on an apology, so Laura said she looked forward to giving him one.

Before Laura left, Cyrus mentioned that he’d be going to visit his mother soon since he missed her even if she didn’t miss him. Laura seemed emotionally affected by her conversation with Cyrus as she ultimately headed out.

At Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) place, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) met up with Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) and sought support from a friend.

Felicia got updates on the whole Jameson Forsyth situation and why Anna thought she was firing at him instead of Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) that night.

Anna also felt that Forsyth was taken out because of something in the incriminating report he got his hands on.

Over with Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), she wondered what evidence Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) was holding. Dante admitted it was literally the key that could help find out who was after Anna.

Dante explained that this key was to a public locker at a train station and that it was found on Forsyth after the hit-and-run. Sam also heard about Anna’s history with Forsyth and about the incriminating report that was likely in the locker.

However, Dante worried someone was monitoring things and didn’t want to lead them to that locker. There were concerns about giving the key to the PCPD or Anna since it could make all this even more dangerous.

Dante and Sam considered the possibility that someone else was implicated in the report – and since Anna was the only remaining witness, they wanted to bury her along with it.

In a Metro Court suite, Mr. Brennan (Charles Mesure) verified that the cash was still in the briefcase and told Roman Hume (Mark Engelhardt) that it was too bad Sonny couldn’t be bought off.

Brennan talked about sticking around to deal with things himself and make sure Pikeman could ship merchandise to Canada.

Hume pointed out that Brennan was the director of the WSB, but Brennan acted like he could mostly handle his duties remotely.

Hume asked if Corinthos or Devane was the priority, so Brennan confirmed that it was both.

The option of getting rid of Sonny was still on the table, but Brennan insisted that was a last resort. It would create a lot of mob drama and get the cops too interested if Sonny’s demise created a void.

They were better off securing Sonny’s cooperation, so Brennan suggested they’d just have to use a different kind of leverage.

There was also talk about Forsyth’s old mission going sideways, which led to Anna keeping a copy of the incriminating report. Forsyth was supposed to retrieve that report and eliminate Anna, but he failed to deliver on his promises.

That report had likely been stashed somewhere as insurance and was still out there, so Brennan seemed concerned.

Next, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) asked Sonny for a list of names of people who’d have a reason to take a shot at him. Sonny brought up Cyrus framing him from behind bars, so Curtis figured he was a suspect worth looking into.

Since Curtis had access to the PCPD’s info, Sonny assumed he knew that the sniper rifle was lifted from a WSB investigation in Berlin.

Sonny discussed Pikeman’s connection to the WSB and how he hadn’t lived up to their satisfaction when it came to Pikeman’s overtures.

Although Sonny couldn’t say for sure whether Pikeman came after him, he didn’t see why they’d come after Anna. Curtis decided he’d have to start back at square one and see where the trail led.

General Hospital spoilers say Curtis could land in some trouble thanks to his investigation, so stay tuned for news on the danger ahead. CDL’s where you want to be for the hottest General Hospital spoilers, updates and news, so check back often for more GH details.
