General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Tuesday, May 9, reveals that Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) apologized to Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) for using her in his scheme with Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) and admitted he’d like to see where his romance with Diane might lead.
Diane was on the same page, so Robert suggested some Champagne to celebrate. After Diane got called away for work, Robert poured their glasses of bubbly into a plant and looked disappointed.
Just as Robert was about to leave, Holly showed up and spilled news about her whole Greenland adventure.
At Dex Heller’s (Evan Hofer), he distracted Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) from all the drama happening in her life by suggesting that they should cook something together.
Josslyn and Dex put together an ingredient list for a new recipe, but Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) phone call derailed their plan.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) were angry with Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) since they were convinced he was behind the SEC tip.
Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) thought Ned was to blame too and acted like it was a good thing. As Ned continued trying to defend himself, Dex and Josslyn arrived to pick up the kids for Michael since he needed them at GH.
In Willow Corinthos’ (Katelyn MacMullen) hospital room, Deanna Sirtis (Dioni Michelle Collins) talked about the strong round of chemo that Willow would need for her transplant.
It would leave Willow’s immune system completely compromised, so she’d have to be taken to an isolation room and placed on a special diet. A protective barrier would also be put up, which meant Willow couldn’t have physical contact with her loved ones.
Willow worried this might be the last time she held Michael’s hand, but he promised there would be more hand-holding. Even so, Willow acknowledged how weak she was and feared she wouldn’t live through all this.
Michael assured Willow that she’d beat the odds and gave her a passionate kiss before she was taken to the isolation room.
Meanwhile, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) apologized to Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) for trying to make it her fault that Nina was estranged from Willow.
Nina insisted she was wrong and that she regretted her actions, but she desperately wanted to connect with her daughter and begged for Carly’s help.
Suddenly, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) got off the elevator with Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati), who praised him as a hero for bringing her home.
Before Carly could give Drew updates on what happened while he was gone, the SEC agents showed up to take him down to the PCPD for questioning.
Once Drew was taken to the interrogation room, Diane waltzed in and shut down the grilling session since the SEC didn’t have a subpoena yet.
Drew was grateful to Diane, who called this a one-off and suggested they’d have to discuss further representation down the line.
As for the source of these insider trading allegations, Diane mentioned there was an anonymous tip.
Later, Drew showed up at the Quartermaine mansion and punched Ned since he believed he was the one who tipped off the SEC.
At the hospital again, Liesl paced around and ranted about how unfair this SEC mess was, especially considering Drew’s latest heroic efforts.
A guilt-ridden Nina finally blurted out that was enough, but she covered by acting like they needed to focus on Willow right now.
Nina led Liesl to Willow’s room, but they found that Willow was already in isolation to prep for the transplant.
Michael told Liesl that what she was doing meant everything to him as well as his children. Liesl insisted it was her privilege and called Willow family before heading to the floor Willow was on.
Once Josslyn and Dex showed up with Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Viron Weaver) and Amelia Corinthos (Nathan and Owen Ford), Michael was surprised over Dex tagging along.
Dex privately questioned Josslyn and learned she indeed wanted everyone to see their relationship out in the open.
Back with Willow, she looked quite ill in her hospital bed, but her spirits were lifted as Michael, Carly, Wiley and Amelia showed their support through the window. Nina also lurked behind the rest of the gang and seemed uncomfortable.
In Robert’s office, Holly talked about thinking she might die in Greenland and kissed Robert now that she was finally able to seize the moment.
As luck would have it, Diane showed back up at the worst possible time and witnessed the lip lock.
General Hospital spoilers say Robert will have some explaining to do soon enough, so stay tuned! CDL’s the place to be for great General Hospital spoilers, updates and news, so make us your one-stop GH source.
