General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, August 30, reveals that Judge Kerr (Tim Thunderhorse Halpin) looked at the evidence and determined that Tracy Quartermaine’s (Jane Elliot) lawsuit could move forward.

The trial was set for six months from now, so Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) flipped out since Deception would likely go bankrupt without sales from The Deceptor for that long.

Tracy spoke to Lucy after the hearing and offered to make the lawsuit go away for 75 percent of Deception. Although Lucy was appalled, Tracy acted like it’d be better than losing all of it in a trial.

After Brook Lynn made herself scarce, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) reminded Lucy of the stolen Deception info. There was speculation that Brook Lynn was responsible for an inside job.

Elise (Carly Hughes) agreed that Brook Lynn must be the mole – though Maxie and Lucy realized Tracy likely had leverage she was using against her.

At GH, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) took Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) to see Dr. Brooks (Michael Bell) now that she had medical power of attorney. Cody was adamant about this being the only way to get to Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson), so Sam tried to help him get locked away in Ferncliff.

After Sam expressed concern about some of Cody’s behavior – like walking in traffic and stepping out on a ledge – Cody claimed he didn’t want to be on this planet anymore.

Once Dr. Brooks asked to speak with his patient privately, Cody opened up about his troubling impulses and how he got a high out of cheating a grim fate. It made Cody want to keep pushing the envelope.

Cody also mentioned how went he used to skydive as a stuntman, he’d sometimes think about not pulling his parachute – just so it’d all be quiet and over.

Elsewhere at the hospital, Sam bumped into Dr. Damon Montague (Darin Tooner) and spilled coffee on him. That led to Sam striking up a conversation with Dr. Montague about how she was bored waiting on her friend and how she wished she had playing cards for a poker game.

Dr. Montague pointed out that he could get Sam in the poker games he played and handed over his business card. Afterward, a nurse came to tell Sam that Dr. Brooks was ready to speak with her about Cody.

At Ferncliff, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) showed up to ask Sasha some questions related to the investigation, but Nurse Janice (Lauren Swickard) offered some disturbing updates.

Janice said Sasha found someone to smuggle drugs to her and set back her recovery, so Dante looked concerned. When Dante called Sasha’s name and touched her shoulder, she was too deeply asleep to wake up.

In Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) office, Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) insisted Sasha’s doctor was holding her hostage and exploiting the situation for money. Nina learned Gladys got tangled up with this doctor through the poker games they were both part of.

Gladys blamed the doctor for using meds to mess with Sasha’s head and set back her progress so Gladys would remain in control of her finances. Nina assumed it was so this doctor could get paid and demanded a name, but Gladys refused to provide it.

Although Nina threatened to tell Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) everything, Gladys grabbed her arm and convinced Nina paying the doctor was the best way to handle this.

Nina decided Sonny already had a lot to deal with, so she’d give Gladys the money. Nevertheless, Nina made it clear that she’d send Sonny after Gladys if this doctor didn’t let Sasha out of Ferncliff unharmed.

Gladys said she’d find some way to pay Nina back, but Nina wasn’t holding her breath on that!

In Sonny’s office, Selina Wu (Lydia Look) told him that the poker games she held in the backroom of The Savoy would be shut down unless Sonny intervened.

Sonny refused to bother Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) and suggested that the games would indeed be over if that’s what Marshall wanted.

If Sonny heard any news about Selina interfering in Marshall or Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) business, then he warned that he wouldn’t be happy.

Sonny also pushed Selina to be transparent about others she might be doing business with. Selina insisted there was no one, but she vowed Sonny would be the first to know if there was anybody else.

Sonny was skeptical since he felt a sharp business woman like Selina would usually have something to fall back on – like a deal on the side.

When Dante interrupted, Selina told him that she hoped he found out who was responsible for what happened to Curtis.

Selina left, so that gave Dante a chance to fill Sonny in on Sasha scoring drugs and doing terribly at Ferncliff. Since Sasha was doing so well before, Sonny assumed someone must’ve triggered her setback.

Although Dante knew Sonny would use his own resources to dig into this, Dante felt the need to keep digging, too.

Back at Ferncliff, Janice approached Sasha, who woke up and frantically begged the nurse to keep Dr. Montague away since he was drugging her.

Janice told Dr. Montague about Sasha’s paranoia and accusations, so he cornered Sasha alone and ominously talked about being with his patients to the very end.

Once Cody’s plan worked and he was taken to Ferncliff for treatment, Sam made a serious threat. If Cody’s scheme went sideways and hurt Sasha, then Sam made it clear she’d take Cody out herself!

As Selina left a voicemail, she demanded Gladys pay her debt in full by the end of the day.

General Hospital spoilers say Gladys still has some tight spots in her future, so stay tuned. CDL’s where you want to be for great General Hospital spoilers, updates and news to read up on, so make us your one-stop GH source.
