General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that the DNA results Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) recently received may not have been the real deal. Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) is Trina’s father according to the paperwork, but we certainly can’t rule out the idea of some tampering in the lab.
After all, it was weird to throw in Selina Wu’s (Lydia Look) offer to alter the outcome of that paternity test.
Selina played up how lucky Curtis would be to have a daughter like Trina, but she also acknowledged that maybe that could be a complication.
After basically presenting the pros and cons of each outcome, Selina insisted she could make the results turn out any way Curtis wanted.
GH writers went out of their way to let fans know that Selina had access to the labs at the hospital.
Curtis insisted he didn’t want Selina to interfere, but that whole conversation may have been Selina’s way of figuring out what Curtis truly hoped for.
Perhaps Selina was able to get the sense that Curtis desperately wanted Trina to be his flesh and blood.
Selina might’ve decided to tamper with the results anyway and make sure Trina was revealed to be Curtis’ biological daughter – at least according to the bogus proof.
Now Curtis and Trina will have a chance to bond in a whole new way.
Although Trina pointed out that she’s not looking for a replacement father, she’ll inevitably get closer to Curtis due to the bio dad evidence.
It’s easy to imagine Selina dropping a bomb somewhere down the line.
Once Curtis deepens his connection with Trina, Selina might take credit for it and leave Curtis suspicious.
It could lead to Selina admitting she’s behind the fake father-daughter match – or she could at least stir up enough doubts for Curtis that he secretly runs another test.
Could Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews) still be Trina’s biological father after all?
Taggert was devastated over the news that Trina wasn’t his daughter by blood. That certainly doesn’t change Taggert’s love for Trina, but it still takes away something special from these two.
Many viewers have been voicing their outrage on social media, so the writers might take advantage of the out that they gave themselves.
They’ll always have Selina in their back pocket as a way to undo Trina’s paternity since she flat-out offered to tamper with the outcome and announced her lab access.
