General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Sofia Mattsson (Sasha Gilmore) recently came clean about a secret that really wasn’t much of one anymore! Despite the show’s attempts to hide Mattsson’s baby bump through oversized jackets and the right angles, plenty of viewers suspected she had a bun in the oven.
On Instagram, Mattsson finally confirmed all the baby buzz and offered up a gender reveal.
The GH star posted a pic of herself looking very pregnant and glowing like the expectant mom that she is.
“Many of you guessed it already… Baby girl due in May,” Mattsson said in her caption.
Even though it wasn’t much of a surprise at this point, it was still nice to get confirmation and celebrate the happy news.
Sofia Mattsson gave birth to her first child back in July 2021, which is when she welcomed a son.
Now Mattsson and her husband, Thomas Payton, are looking forward to expanding their family with a daughter.
Of course, we should take note of that May due date since it’s rapidly approaching. It’s time to start thinking about Mattsson’s maternity leave and what that means for Sasha.
General Hospital spoilers say Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) will want to leave town on the April 21 episode, so she may pressure Sasha to come on a trip with her.
Naturally, Gladys will have ulterior motives since she doesn’t want Sasha to find out the truth about her gambling debts and how she used Sasha’s assets to settle them.
Gladys is digging an even bigger hole for herself now that she’s framed Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) for an expensive bracelet theft.
It’s clear that Gladys is doing whatever she can to keep Sasha out of the loop on her shady behavior, so getting her as far away from Cody as possible would help.
Sasha and Gladys’ trip might be used to explain Mattsson’s necessary time off the show, but there are other options as well.
If Gladys’ secrets blow up, that could change the game and lead to another explanation for Sasha’s absence.
Regardless, we wish Sofia Mattsson the best as she prepares to give birth to baby number two and will pass along updates on what’s ahead for Sasha.
