General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will discover news that rocks Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) to the core. Nina will be distracted in a conversation with Ava Jerome (Maura West) while Sonny pokes around at some files Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) packed up from Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) office.
It turns out Willow’s medical chart will accidentally be in the box, so Sonny will stumble across it and get updates on Willow’s dire condition.
GH spoilers say Sonny will show the paper to Nina, who’ll reel when she learns Willow has stage 4 leukemia.
Once Nina gets past the shock, she’ll also battle some guilt since she accused Willow of having an affair with TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow).
Nina also harassed Willow about helping Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) with the community Christmas decorations when she was quite ill following chemo.
Speaking of chemo, Nina will notice on the chart that Willow didn’t start treatment until a couple of months after receiving her diagnosis.
That’ll leave Nina fearful, especially since she won’t want Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Viron Weaver) to lose his adoptive mom.
Nina will somehow get it in her head that Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) must’ve pressured Willow on this.
Nothing could be further from the truth since Willow kept this from Michael until it was time to start treatment.
Willow couldn’t bear the thought of losing another baby, so she resolved to tell Michael once it was safer for her unborn child.
Of course, there are still plenty of risks since Willow is now extremely sick and has to worry about whether she’ll survive long enough to give birth.
Willow also has to fret over whether she’ll be around to be a mother to Wiley and his little sister.
Michael and Willow’s family is in serious jeopardy, so Nina will soon realize that.
Nevertheless, it was always Willow’s decision alone to delay treatment.
This wasn’t Michael’s fault, but Nina will track him down to play the blame game during the week of January 9-13.
