General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that more trouble’s brewing for Dex Heller (Evan Hofer), who recently made a confession to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) about the night Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) died.
Although Sonny wasn’t thrilled about Dex waiting so long to tell him, he accepted the updates – though he seemed to think he wasn’t getting the whole story.
Sonny pushed Dex to look him in the eyes and swear he was telling his boss everything.
Dex indeed swore it, but he was obviously lying since he left out the part about hooking up with Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy)!
Of course, Dex’s romantic connection to Josslyn may be the least of his problems.
The even bigger betrayal is the fact that Dex is Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) plant and has been plotting Sonny’s takedown from the very beginning.
Sonny told Dex the sky was the limit for him, but the phone call he made afterward suggested he didn’t trust his employee.
Since Sonny is having someone check into Dex, that could mean tailing him and taking a closer look at his activities.
It looks like Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) could play a role in Dex’s exposure as well, so there’ll be plenty of ways for GH writers to set up his downfall.
Josslyn is worried that Sonny might try to kill Dex, which is certainly an option to consider.
However, it’s also possible this softer Nixon Falls influenced version of Sonny will spare Dex’s life.
That’s especially true since Josslyn would hate Sonny even more if he ordered Dex’s murder.
Sonny might decide having Dex thrown in prison would work just as well, so he could make sure there’s criminal evidence to sink him.
Dex could go down for some of the mob work he’s been doing, which would really be a poetic way to turn the tables.
Michael has been seeking Dex’s help to put Sonny behind bars, but Sonny may send Dex to the slammer instead.
