General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that there may be a deeper reason for Spencer Cassadine’s (Nicholas Chavez) hatred of Dex Heller (Evan Hofer). Spencer doesn’t like the fact that Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) kept secrets from Cameron Webber (William Lipton) – and Dex was obviously a big part of those secrets.
However, it almost feels like more is going on here – like the show’s setting up a rivalry that could have major consequences.
Spencer really loathes Dex and would love nothing more than to take him down.
Although Dex saved Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) life during the warehouse shooting, that doesn’t mean it’ll ever change Spencer’s view of him.
Brick (Stephen A. Smith) still doesn’t trust Dex despite his heroic efforts, so Spencer’s own distrust of Dex may be set in stone, too.
Could there be another reason why Spencer loathes Dex? Are GH writers paving the way for Spencer to get updates on Dex’s secret and blow up this shocking news to protect Sonny?
Spencer certainly loves Sonny and has no desire to see him in prison, so he may uncover a shocker and try to help prevent it.
Someone has to catch on when it comes to Dex and Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) secret Sonny destruction plan, so it might as well be Spencer.
Maybe Spencer will overhear a conversation that he shouldn’t or find some other evidence that points to Dex’s betrayal with Michael.
Spencer could go directly to Sonny and rat Dex out, so that could definitely affect how things go with the Pikeman deal.
Sonny could potentially lead Dex into a trap and feed him to the Pikeman wolves if the situation goes south.
If Spencer exposes Dex’s traitor status before the big meeting, that could be a game-changer.
Whatever the case, you can bet Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) will be furious if Spencer manages to put Dex in danger.
Josslyn is falling head over heels, so the last thing she wants is for Spencer to provoke Sonny’s fury and put a target on Dex’s back.
General Hospital spoilers say Dex may have earned Sonny’s respect and loyalty for now, but he’ll lose all that once his plot with Michael is ultimately exposed.
