General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Thursday, February 9, teases that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will seem charmingly mischievous as he plans something special for Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).
Sonny might have a plan so that they can see Amelia Corinthos (Nathan and Owen Ford) in person – or maybe it’ll just be a way to distract Nina from her disappointment.
Unfortunately, more disappointment is looming since Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) treatment will flop.
Willow apparently won’t be able to have a cord transplant after all due to some issues harvesting the necessary stem cells.
Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) will drop that alarming news on Willow, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), so there’ll be growing fears about Willow’s fate.
Willow is running out of time to find a bone marrow donor, but that’ll go back to being her best option once this cord transplant is out.
Carly will seem distraught as Donna Corinthos (Arya & Ayla Dormiani) questions her, but maybe a visit from her daughter will lift her spirits.
Someone will surely suggest testing Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) sooner or later since she’s a blood relative and stands a better chance of being a match than a stranger.
GH spoilers hint that Liesl could be the answer to Willow’s prayers, but Willow may not find out for a while.
Meanwhile, it appears Obrecht will have a veiled threat for Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton). Obrecht can be a crucial ally or a fierce foe, so she may push Finn to choose wisely.
Although Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) will be adamant about confessing her guilt to the cops, Ava Jerome (Maura West) will insist that’d be a mistake.
It doesn’t look like Ava will reveal anything about inadvertently killing Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss), but she’ll want Liz to understand the gravity of her potential actions.
Ava will contend that Elizabeth will be the only one paying the price if she turns herself in. Liz may get the wrong idea about Nikolas going MIA and leaving her to face punishment alone.
Ava will do whatever she can to keep Elizabeth quiet, but Finn will have a chance to weigh in again later.
At The Invader, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) won’t get why Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) is dragging his feet on accepting her job offer.
Gregory will put up a fight on becoming a journalist and won’t think he’s a good fit for the position.
Alexis will disagree and may suspect there are other reasons why Gregory is holding himself back from a new career path.
