General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, January 19, reveals that Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) and Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) finished their wedding seating chart before discussing their honeymoon.
When Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) came home, Curtis and Portia admitted they wanted his help with the marriage ceremony.
Marshall was already pitching in the music arrangements, but Curtis asked if he’d play a clarinet solo as well.
Marshall was honored, but he said he didn’t think he could and acted like he didn’t know what to play.
Portia and Curtis had a special request, but Marshall kept making excuses and finally blurted out that he didn’t trust himself.
After Portia realized this was about Marshall’s schizophrenia diagnosis, he confessed he couldn’t do solos since his anxiety acts up.
Marshall only performed with a band now since he didn’t want to trigger an episode.
Portia pointed out that Marshall had never actually had an episode, but Marshall wasn’t going to risk it on Curtis and Portia’s big day.
While Curtis was on a phone call, Portia reminded Marshall that she wasn’t so sure he even had schizophrenia.
Although Portia didn’t understand why Marshall wouldn’t want to look into a misdiagnosis, he argued that it was too late.
In the chapel at GH, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) told Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) they would’ve known Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) was a potential donor match a long time ago if it weren’t for her.
Carly argued keeping the bio mom secret wasn’t about revenge and didn’t think she owed Sonny or Nina an explanation.
After Carly said she kept quiet for the greater good of her family, Sonny mocked this PR job she was spinning in her head.
What it all boiled down to was that Nina suffered and Carly liked it – at least that was Sonny’s perspective.
Carly pointed out that Nina and Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) hated each other long before she found out they were mother and daughter, but Sonny told her to stop justifying her lies.
Once Carly acted like the old Sonny would’ve understood, she said that Sonny was gone.
Sonny felt they’d all changed and didn’t have to keep doing the same things they’d always done.
In an exam room, Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) found Nina and learned she was waiting on blood test results since she could potentially donate bone marrow to Willow.
Austin thought it was a generous gesture, but Nina said she didn’t have a choice and revealed that Willow was her daughter.
Nina seemed upset about Willow shutting her out, so Austin secretly called Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) to come see her.
Once Liesl came, she found out Nina had another daughter besides Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier).
Nina worried this was the last thing Liesl wanted to talk about after losing Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud).
Liesl assured Nina that she wanted to celebrate the good news, but Nina argued that there were complications – like Carly.
After Nina offered updates on the whole ugly story, she reflected on how cruel Carly was and said she could kill her!
Even before Nixon Falls, Carly was always trying to undermine and reinforce Willow’s angry feelings.
Nina shouted that she’d had enough and vowed to make Carly suffer for this.
Liesl knew exactly how Nina felt, but she warned that she couldn’t strike back at Carly.
Now that Nina had a new daughter and grandchild, Liesl said that was where her focus should be.
Liesl warned Nina not to squander her second chance to be a mother and cried as she urged her to cherish this gift she’d been given.
In the end, Nina knew Liesl was right.
Meanwhile, Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) showed up at the hospital, so Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) asked what he was doing there.
After they stepped into the stairwell, Dex revealed that he came looking for Sonny and said he heard about Willow’s leukemia.
Michael just wanted Dex to stay on top of the plan to bring Sonny down, so Dex assured him that he would.
When Michael asked what problem Dex called about the other night, Dex acted like it was a false alarm.
At Kelly’s, Cameron Webber (William Lipton) had picked up yet another extra shift to avoid what he was feeling about Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), who suddenly walked through the door.
After an awkward interaction, Cam rushed off to clock in. Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) insisted that Cameron was heartbroken and had an attitude as he suggested Joss should steer clear of him for a little while.
Josslyn snapped at Spencer to mind his own business and insisted she wouldn’t avoid Kelly’s just because of Cameron, especially since she didn’t even know he was working today.
Spencer pushed for answers about the breakup and was clearly on Cam’s side, so Josslyn was hurt.
As things escalated, Josslyn asked if Spencer really thought she didn’t care about Cameron’s feelings just because they broke up.
Cameron overheard that part and tried to stop Josslyn from leaving, but she rushed out anyway.
Once Cam turned back to Spencer, he yelled at him to stop fighting his battles since Cam could do that himself.
Something was off about this breakup according to Spencer, who didn’t buy the excuse of growing apart. Spencer didn’t think that Josslyn was being straight with Cameron.
However, Cameron noted that Joss had always been honest with him, so he didn’t see why he should believe she lied now.
Cam still trusted Josslyn and felt she hadn’t wanted to hurt him with the split.
At GH, Josslyn caught a glimpse of Dex before delivering some pie to Michael for Willow.
Michael admitted they might’ve found a bone marrow donor and kept acting weird about Carly, so Josslyn wondered what was up.
When Michael revealed Nina was Willow’s birth mother, Josslyn struggled to believe it was true.
Michael noted that Carly ran a DNA test and knew for months that Nina was Willow’s bio mom.
Josslyn pointed out that Carly told the truth when it counted, but Michael said Willow could’ve died waiting for a bone marrow donor and still might.
Carly was making choices that she had no right to make – choices that jeopardized Willow’s life. Michael didn’t think he could ever forgive Carly for that.
Josslyn understood why Michael was upset, but she pointed out there were extenuating circumstances.
Since Joss saw Carly’s side, she hinted that there were some things people were better off not knowing.
Josslyn urged Michael to feel whatever he needed to feel, but she thought he should cool off before he talked to Carly again.
After Dex found Sonny in the chapel, Sonny put off his conversation with him since he had to talk to Nina.
Once Dex caught up with Josslyn and saw that she was distraught, he suggested they should get out of there and then joined her on the elevator.
When Sonny returned to Nina, she revealed that Liesl reminded her not to give up on Willow, so she insisted she wouldn’t.
Carly crossed paths with Michael elsewhere and asked how Willow was doing, but Michael didn’t see why she’d want to know.
“It’s obvious you don’t give a damn about her,” Michael said.
Back with Liesl, she found out from Austin that Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) had been taken away for arraignment, but he didn’t know the outcome.
Obrecht worried Britt’s killer could be roaming the streets and muttered about tracking Esme down.
General Hospital spoilers say Liesl’s got the wrong suspect, but the truth about Heather Webber (Alley Miller) hooking Britt will come out eventually.
CDL will have other great General Hospital spoilers, updates and news, so pop back in soon.
